I believe they always lie about “lived experience” so like any other unreliable narrator, I evaluate them by non-troon reporting.
I assume that any troon who brags about how hot they are, and how well they pass, and how many men want them, and how surprised those men are to find out they're trans are referring entirely to online interactions, in which they've posted the most flattering possible pics of themselves--pics that look nothing like they do irl.
That Annika troon posted a couple of pages back, the one who thinks women shouldn't date men who won't date troons? All of his bragging about how much men want his hot trans self, and think he's a real woman, goes to shit when you look at pics of him. He's a surgically-modified dude who is still built like a 2x4, and, at 45 years old, has a busted-looking face (despite relatively decent FFS results).
So who are all these men falling all over Annika's hot troon self--while Annika still has such a hard time getting a date that he has to demand actual women prove their allyship by handmaidening for him? You can't tell me they're not responding to a heavily filtered, carefully posed online profile that deceptively presents him as an actual woman (who just happens to have masculine interests--something a lot of men will jump at).
And if he does get hit on by men while walking down the street, that's less about his ability to pass as an attractive woman than it is about the fact that he lives in a neighborhood (Seattle's Capitol Hill) that is ground zero for the LGBTQ community, and thus is prime cruising territory for fetishists of different stripes, including those who like girldick.
I mean I’ve lived my life as a fairly attractive white woman and I have never encountered that kind of harassment. I think troons think being a desirable female means men constantly taking a run at you, so part of the fantasy is to pretend that’s happening to them, but it actually doesn’t.
I am pretty much Jane Average, looks-wise, and not girly at all, so of course I never got that kind of attention IRL--but online? Online is a whole 'nother matter. I don't use online dating platforms any more because every drooling, dick-posting creeper seemed to come slithering out of the sewers and into my inbox, making me think that maybe the radfems were right.
So, given what a bunch of internet-dwelling autists so many troons are, and how selective their self-presentation is, I'm sure troons do get unwitting straight men, as well as fetishists, slavering over them--but it's only online. IRL, all but the most open degenerates are going to recoil from them, because they look like what they are--men doing female cosplay, with limited success at best.
