What they got was something so over-the-top that no human being could take it seriously.
Which is exactly what they had wanted, the SVU ep did nothing but spit their own beliefs back in their faces
exactly as they had preached it. The only thing that changed is they weren't the ones doing the preaching this time even though the messages were supposedly the same thing down to the letter.
I know I like to make historical comparisons far too much, but...this is
exactly the same kind of thing that brought Senator McCarthy down and ended his reign of Communism Persecution in the 50's. He openly welcomed the idea of having his trials televised, believing that it would simply enlargen his audience exponentially by bringing his words of wisdom into the American living room. What actually happened was the general public saw he was pretty much a gigantic asshole throwing baseless accusations against people who apparently were on trial for just
questioning him than actually being supportive of Communism at all.
As always, it comes back down to controling the narrative. For all of GG, it's been clear that the anti's,
especially the true SJWs among them, avoid actual direct discussion in a fair enviroment because they will lose unless they can micromanage every last detail, including the things said on the
opposing side. It's easy for them to constantly demonize and dehumanize GG, because even now GG doesn't have a central figurehead they can target. So all they can do is collectively paint GG as like a giant hivemind of terrorists actively trying to drive women out of an entertainment industry.
It's only now hitting them that
maybe the fact all it sounds like is they're making out GG to be an almost laughable SNL-grade parody of ISIS that is obsessed with video games and just hating women to the point
the women actually saying those things say SUV ruined any chance of such claims - mainly
theirs of course -
ever being taken seriously by the general public.
The old saying of "have a taste of your own medicine" has never been more appropriate than it is now.
