I don't know how JewWario would be on this but I'm sure he wouldn't like Todd claiming to say where JewWario would stand on this, especially if JewWario didn't care about GamerGate outside of just giving some quick thought on it. One can only want to see what else Todd posted in exploiting the death of his friend just to try and kill off support of something he doesn't like.

JewWario committed suicide before Gamergate went down, he had no thoughts on it and probably wouldn't anyway, he just wanted people to have fun.

No matter what you feel about Gamergate, coming across as an entitled fucksteak who believe they have the right to decide the position of a dead person is fucking despicable.

He actually used his friend's death to bash gamergate.

What they got was something so over-the-top that no human being could take it seriously.

Which is exactly what they had wanted, the SVU ep did nothing but spit their own beliefs back in their faces exactly as they had preached it. The only thing that changed is they weren't the ones doing the preaching this time even though the messages were supposedly the same thing down to the letter.

I know I like to make historical comparisons far too much, but...this is exactly the same kind of thing that brought Senator McCarthy down and ended his reign of Communism Persecution in the 50's. He openly welcomed the idea of having his trials televised, believing that it would simply enlargen his audience exponentially by bringing his words of wisdom into the American living room. What actually happened was the general public saw he was pretty much a gigantic asshole throwing baseless accusations against people who apparently were on trial for just questioning him than actually being supportive of Communism at all.

As always, it comes back down to controling the narrative. For all of GG, it's been clear that the anti's, especially the true SJWs among them, avoid actual direct discussion in a fair enviroment because they will lose unless they can micromanage every last detail, including the things said on the opposing side. It's easy for them to constantly demonize and dehumanize GG, because even now GG doesn't have a central figurehead they can target. So all they can do is collectively paint GG as like a giant hivemind of terrorists actively trying to drive women out of an entertainment industry.

It's only now hitting them that maybe the fact all it sounds like is they're making out GG to be an almost laughable SNL-grade parody of ISIS that is obsessed with video games and just hating women to the point the women actually saying those things say SUV ruined any chance of such claims - mainly theirs of course - ever being taken seriously by the general public.

The old saying of "have a taste of your own medicine" has never been more appropriate than it is now.

Is just that shit thing is that demonized GG so far to even question aGGros figureheads is seeing as assholish to segment. A friend of mine call me an asshole that needed to grow up because I said that I'm not happy that Wu is using a mentally ill person for her gain.

Is shitty seing people that used to preach 'progressiveness" (like, take mental health seriously) are now using demonizing people that otherwise they have laughed off and moved on as they know is beyond their reach.

What worries me is people being to far in the Kool Aid to actually do something against it.

Dunno what the fuck Anita and Zoe expected (outside of money and fame) if their "fight"becomed public. Or they don't actually understand the concept of Patricarchy that they always bitch about and feel that it was "against the man (and men)"?

Todd is widely considered one of the reasons that Channel Awesome's been bleeding content, with most of its content creators fucking off for greener pastures. If it weren't for Brad Jones, I probably wouldn't even visit it at all, since my favorites (Phelous, Spoony, etc) have all long since left the site.

Like, if you want a textbook example of how he single-handedly pissed off most of Channel Awesome's veterans, take a look at him exploiting JewWario's death on Twitter. This is probably the least-offensive one of the lot:

He also said months ago that GGer's should donate to Zoe's patreon to show that they don't support harassment of her. Despite already making over 3k a month for doing nothing. I also remember some guy saying he was a disabled war veteran and he was barely making ends meet, so of course he wouldn't donate, and Todd merely responded saying "excuses, excuses".

He deserves a fist in the face for that alone.

Supanova has come to a decision, and they've decided to let Adam Baldwin come to their convention after all:

"Given that we have Adam’s statement above verifying he will not discuss #GamerGate while stating categorically that he does not condone harassment, bullying or doxxing under any circumstances; given we as Supanova will not allow questions regarding the subject from the floor; given we as Supanova as a professional organisation must fulfil our contractual obligations; given Supanova will be providing the highest level of enforcement of our Code of Conduct (a condition of entry to the event) to ensure our strong anti-bullying and anti-harassment policies are maintained; and given that so many fans continue to support Adam’s appearance as part of our ‘Serenity’ 10th Anniversary celebration, we will be proceeding with Adam’s attendance as planned."

Suck it, Wu.

It happened way before Gamergate, but I should remind people that Ben "Fact Check" Kuchera has had a public beef with Erik Kain (an ACTUAL fucking journalist) for DARING to mention emulators in an article. The same Ben Kuchera fired from Penny Arcade for costing them money and the same guy who is actively sinking Polygon to advertisers by posting multiple articles in a single month showing where to illegal download and watch movies for free. Kain has been hauled into this fiasco despite his best efforts.

I just wanted to remind people of that because it makes this tweet even more delicious.

That's the beauty of it. This is what they actually believe. It's almost like one of those South Park parodies (Scientology and Mormon) where they just straight up repeat what these people actually believe. People have unironically tweeted things like "it's only a matter of time until someone dies!" And the line about being attacked ONLY because she's a woman in the game industry has been repeated so much that it would be more dishonest to the narrative not to make it like that. Hell, just look at that ridiculous article from Brianna Wu that's been spammed everywhere for the last day or two.

And even with their conspiracy theories directly mirrored on the show in a way that makes it look like Reefer Madness, at least some of them are still like "guys, you HAVE to believe me, this stuff is REALLY happening IRL!", and just making themselves look even crazier in the process.

On the subject of PDQ24/7KJV, what's the turnaround going from writing to air?

I know that for animated shows, while the process usually takes a year from start to finish, the actual script writing takes significantly less time for a whole season's worth, depending on the episode count of a "season" or amount of actual show to be written (I.E. a half-hour cartoon with 26 episodes a season is effectively the same as a 1-hour drama with 13 episode seasons). The one exception that I am aware of is South Park, the turnaround for that one episode about the Redskins was insane given they included audio clips from the NFL commissioner guy that -at the time of the SP episode's airing - were less than a week old.

L&O:SVU probably is a *very* cheap show to produce past the writing stage as it's mainly people just talking around generic office sets and there has to be a reason it's been kept on for so long that it's literally aped MAD TV by this point it's gotten so stale with the plots. I'd put the decision to produce this episode having happened maybe a month or two into GG, around the time Wu was all over the news media as well as her faked dilemma of not being able to go(ne) home, the episode itself probably having finished post-production in early January and it's just been in the queue of episodes to be aired with the rest of the season.

If it makes you feel better Doug is apparently on good enough terms with Spoony that they reviewed Bloodrayne with Linkara.
