The drama with Rev60, Common Core conspiracy and so on is funny, the stonewalling is not. They have a hateboner for libertarians as sexist and racist or something, I don’t know man. My attitude should be “fixed”? I think you mean it should conform to your worldview, you patronising ass.
Why do you believe they're a minority? Are you referring to the extremists?
Yeah, I am.
They're loud, but they're also
tiny as hell. Tumblr's SJWs are notorious across the Internet, but they make up less than 20% of the userbase of Tumblr, if that (which is why they are costing Tumblr money). The SJWs on say, DailyKos number under 50 users out of about 3000, but through concentration and aggressiveness, they've locked down certain topics on the site. Even on bullshit like Reddit where they have a strangle-hold on places like SRS,
they are not the plurality of users. Even in these users, they constantly jockey for position
in their own ranks. Do you think people like that represent the majority of any website?
And finally, look at Video Gaming. Who do you think is a larger fucking market - the people who self-identify as Gamers, or the people convinced that the term "Gamer" itself is misogynistic and holding women back? Here's a spoiler alert -
it sure as shit isn't the latter, and most companies worth a damn know this. Hell, this was a centerpiece of
Liana K's article.
All of this is very reminiscent of something a lot of people have pointed out to Trans*** shitheads on Tumblr countless times - they make up less than 0.05% of the human population. Tumblr's SJWs hate this fact because it reminds them of how dependent anything they do is on regular fucking human beings. The fact is, they're a minority, and they know it. Hell, their entire lack-of-privilege fucking defense structure's based on it. What they are is loud, obnoxious, and aggressive. They know how to leverage these effectively and they show the zealotry of a fanatic in their dealings.
This, by the way, is why they can't operate outside echo chambers. Whether it's Alex Lifschitz going on about how amazing Depression Quest is and how GTAV isn't a game, Arthur Chu's chimp-out on David Pakman's show for daring to allow Gamergate supporters the ability to speak, or when assholes like Leigh Alexander scream about how Gamers don't need to be your audience (spoiler alert: As Brianna Wu is about to learn, yes, they
do), they aren't the plurality, and they
fucking know it.
