I'm normally a pretty level headed person who's reasonable and logical, and sympathetic. Vade makes me throw all that shit out of the window and want to punch her stupid face.

Honestly if they actually did try to make an effort to better themselves I can imagine most of us would stand by them in that. Instead they just choose to wallow and redirect the blame which is pathetic.

I have a hard time faulting people who own up to their mistakes beyond "omng I was an asshole" then going back to being an asshole and actively try to improve themselves. Like we all fuck up at some point and/or another and the important part is how we move on and grow from it all.

This is one of those rare times when everything is said via one image. It's more than just Vade making a desperate "STOP MOCKING ME, PLZ" case from an oblique angle, it's a stark and rather telling component that really nicely encapsulates the tail-end of the Vade saga. Once one of the most feared sources of harassment on Tumblr, now struggling to get above single-digit postings, and responding to it with a desperate combination of disbelief and hope.

Vade wants the "harassment" to stop (it isn't harassment; it's merely chronicling her own failings using her own words and actions, though in her defense, there's probably Weens by now), but doesn't quite seem capable of the self-actualization that comes with that and what it would involve, too willing to fish for coddling than to reach out for what she knows will set things right. One part of her probably hates what she's become, but at the same time, she's too addicted to control to give it up.

She's genuinely desperate enough to reach out to someone - anyone, really - that might be able to fix things, or at least lend an ear, something almost forlorn and sympathetic, but it's at the same time chained to her suspicions about KiwiBigJ and their motives beyond Skeleton Facts. So in a bizarre case, KiwiBigJ becomes her outlet. She asks KiwiBigJ to hopefully help the harassment stop, but cradles that with the knowledge that there may be more to them than that, since KiwiBigJ's been nothing but polite and pretty friendly. It's a rare moment when both of Vade's sides are on full display - the more subtle, withdrawn Vade that almost seems sympathetic, and the more aggressive one we all know and have come to mock.

what exactly have the forums been actively doing? i ask this as neutral as possible.

we definitely have an article written about her, we definitely shittalk her daily here, but what are we doing where she can see? sure, there's a handful of blogs people have made to get a ruse out of her but most of those have died out because she's so boring.

if she doesn't want hate anonymously, she should disable anon forever. better yet just disable her inbox entirely.

if her excuse for not doing this is she wants attention but only good attention, we should notice how absurd that want is because it shows the lack of foresight she has. if she doesn't understand that her negative behaviour equals negative consequences, that isn't on us. the flaming she recieves is justified by her actions and character.

and by that i mean when people who try to argue her insane logic, people that scold her for the caretaking of her dog, people who suggest alternatives to whining all the time. NOT people that use trans slurs, post skeletons/graves or tell her to kill herself. she doesn't deserve that but she'll never stop receiving those due to her past and present behavior. and that isn't our fault either.

Vade made a post on their blog about meeting somebody at work who knew Kennith, and Vade unceremoniously announced that he was dead. Vade's also confirmed that they hung out with Kennith in person.

I'm guessing Kennith's family moved and he and Vade kept in touch over the internet.

Appreciable concern, Balcolm, but I don't really feel sorry for her. Any sympathy I felt eroded as I wrote this fucking thing with an NPOV.

I brought that post up for one reason: It's as close to self-awareness as you're ever going to see from Vade. We all knew that her triggers were bullshit, her conditions lies, her attitude reprehensible, and her actions indefensible.

Vade could have stopped things at any time by simply not being a dick. No one put a gun to her head and forced her to embrace Tumblrism in regards to being yet another Trans*** appropriator, but Vade did, even as it cost her people she cared about, because power ultimately mattered more to her than her boyfriend's life. Nobody forced Vade to milk his death for sympathy points, she did that on her own. Nobody forced Vade to continue this long-standing bullshit of claiming she has conditions she didn't - Vade did that on her own. Nobody forced Vade into the fabricated outrage over non-whites that became a hallmark of her presence on TF2FIP and FSB - Vade did that on her own. Nobody forced her to harass anyone else. Vade did that on her own, as well.

All of this stems back to Vade's embrace of using the banner of Tumblr's social justice platform to let her scream at people. That's why she followed Aura so closely. And by getting their hooks in the stupid and vulnerable, you can see how thoroughly indoctrinated Vade, like so many others, is with this mindset. The fascinating part of Vade herself is that Vade clearly barely believes in her own spiel. She ignores her own triggers list. She never fronts unless she thinks its going to get her support. Vade's clearly never believed it, but Vade's ego is so fucking powerful that she won't ever acknowledge wrongdoing except to get asspats.

Like I said like 200 pages ago, during the formation of the Vade article, I lost the capacity to hate her once I had all the facts. Instead, I realized that the chronicling of Vade had to happen specifically both as a preventive measure (Keeping her from ever getting this kind of power again), and to make abundantly clear, without bias, what had happened. This wasn't always easy, since a lot of sources proved unreliable. I had to re-write entire pages multiple times.

I don't feel responsible for her. Worry not.

According to my sources, Kenneth and Vade were together in High School, and Kenneth moved after Graduation. They remained in contact via Skype and chat programs.

I started the thread, if I remember correctly, because I'd just joined the forum and Vade had been giving You Know Who a hard time again. Yes, Vade was not as powerful, but they were still strong-arming people, still sending people death threats through anon. And they probably would have kept on doing it up until they found some new fandom to lord over.

Reddit's TumblrInAction already knew about Vade. They'd made enemies pretty much wherever they went. It was only a matter of time before Vade fucked with the wrong person.

It's also a quote that summarises Vade's personality quite well.

It's quite common for those who suffer emotional trauma to have such low self-esteem that they either believe they have been rejected after a short amount of time without hearing from anyone (unlike Vade however, they usually hold no blame towards the other person and believe they themselves are at fault) or deliberately distance themselves before the other person has a chance to reject them. Most people who are genuinely sympathetic towards those who have had a bad hand in life and didn't have any background knowledge on Vade would reasonably conclude she's someone who just needs a re-introduction to stable relationships to help her get over the past. Yet it's guilt trips like this that exposes the Machiavellianism of what is admittedly a very clever piece of social engineering; not only is it an exploitation of human kindness but once people like Vade are found out it also erodes a person's ability to trust anyone, especially those who are legitimately good yet traumatised people with understandably low self-esteem.

It also summarises an aspect of Vade's life I don't see discussed that often, in how essentially she uses social media in an addictive manner. Anyone who has known an addict or has acknowledged their own previous addictions will understand how addictions are used as short-term dopamine fixes to avoid facing difficult emotions. Seeing how she uses trigger warnings as a way of avoiding having to confront, acknowledge and accept undesirable emotions or aspects of her personality, it really wouldn't surprise me if she's become addicted to the instant gratification of attention she's been used to in the past, desperately clawing at any justification for victimisation to avoid being alone with herself. However like any junkie that can't get their fix, she's now using projection as a way of blaming others for her unhealthy habits.

Fortunately I can simply never read this thread again and ignore Vade's existence, yet she cannot. Until she acknowledges she's not a God but a flawed human being, she's simply going to further spiral into complete madness whilst the rest of the world summarises her existence in one emoticon:
