I'll be the Arbiter of JusticeTM and say that if Ross wanted to go scorched earth he has my blessing because the karmic injustice of three people lying to him in tandem just so a friend could get his rocks off behind his back would be enough to make anyone mad. But he has demonstrated that he is a different breed than all so far. Making him the victor.

But.... that's not how karma works; you're thinking of retribution. Hell, even wishing retribution or pain on someone who hasn't personally injured you is asking for it; even if karma has more bearing on the path to enlightenment and not earthly justice.

Ross may be a good man, and is turning the cheek, or he may be making a purely pragmatic decision. I'm pretty sure he's solid.

Either way, it's smart & he wins; professionally, legally & in public.

My general advice is; if seeking retribution or revenge personally, don't sugarcoat or justify the desire for payback by painting it as anything else.

Just in case.

Why would you not take Jared to court over this?? If you have proof of these claims this is a free win hands down
Edit: I was so dumbfounded it escaped me that taking him to court would lead to a predator to go to jail. Why wouldn’t you do this???

I can only think of three reasons.

1. They know they don't actually have any smoking gun proof, so aren't going to try long-shotting a conviction.

2. They know they could potentially be facing charges themselves for admitting to distribution of CP twice now if they bring this to the attention of law enforcement.

3. They never cared for justice and just wanted to nuke his life.

My guess is the third to why they don't go after him, with a bit of the first sprinkled in.

That's actually a good point. But I'm still somewhat inclined to give Holly the benefit of the doubt. Not because of Hollys claims, but because Ross seems just so disinterested in this whole drama. Don't you think he would be at least somewhat curious about the possibility of his wife cheating on him? Instead he acts like someone who knows everything he needs to know and just ignores the rest.
Because the real reason they split was because Holly was having an affair with Jared.
They decide to split once it comes to light and in order to avoid drama, the two pretend to have an amicable split and make up some hippie bullshit reason for Holly moving out to keep her affair with Jared going by saying she wanted to be around trees and shit. So most likely, Ross knows. He may play the fool, but he knows.

I'm actually curious as to if Ross would be so chill if Holly had cheated on him. In the VRChat video, he still seemed upset that his previous ex-girlfriend had cheated on him. If he found of Holly had been doing the same, it feels like it would open up old wounds. Then again, Ross does just seem like a really laid-back type of person...

Holy shit man, how can you even start to claim that? Even by Holly's own evidence she was fucking Jared while she was married to Ross. That's cheating. And absolutely everything we've seen, from their divorce statement to Ross' interview on VRChat, is saying "monogamous relationship." This is a new low, I can't believe that this entire fiasco has become a deadass race to the bottom of human decency.

The more I read these posts, the more I'm curious about something...did we ever get proof that Ross didn't know about this happening? No one has ever stated that he didn't know, have they? I know Ross is staying out of it, but if Holly and Ross also had an open relationship (maybe she let him be with others because she thought she was asexual?) then it'd make a few pieces of the puzzle fit.

I've yet to see that, and that's why I'm not really quick to feel bad. I haven't seen Ross address anything.

If he was aware and accepting of it, then that means:
  • Heidi said that Ross needed to be alright with it, which he was
  • Holly's tweets saying she didn't cheat would be right
  • Heidi wouldn't be guilty of not telling Ross because there'd be nothing to tell Ross
  • Jared may have known about the open marriage which led him to tell Holly his feelings
  • Explains the nonchalant approach Jared and Holly have towards hooking up because there wouldn't be anything to hide
  • Would explain the divorce, if Holly wanted more and couldn't have that while she was still married to Ross

It could also explain why Heidi would imagine Ross was on their side, because he wasn't freaking out like she was. He very well could have just let everything happen and never really interfered or involved himself.

I think what someone else was saying is that there might be a slight possibility that they had split up before this had gotten too far, potentially she did ask about "opening the relationship" like Heidi had done and Ross refused, but they publically stayed together for their image on Game Grumps or whatever. I think if that were the case Holly would have said that though instead of vague shit like "I didnt cheat and am not a homewrecker or a thot." She's dropped everything else and he's already "in" the situation, she even kind of brought him in by implicating that anyone who asks him about it is being insensitive, and even then she's more shielding herself in that way. I think Ross is just playing his cards close to his chest.

Or

4. For attention and asspats.

Which, considering one of them is a troon, is highly likely.

So if Ross knew, it'd make the storyline make sense. Heidi wants a relationship with Jeremy and opens the marriage. Jared has been enjoying using his fame for sexual exploits too. Holly and Ross open their marriage because she believes she's asexual, which is not the first I've heard of this happening. Jared begins to have feelings for Holly, and Heidi persuades him to tell her. Heidi and Jared are both close friends with Ross and Holly so they know that they have an open marriage too. Heidi says that Ross needs to be fine with it, which he would be. Heidi realizes she may lose Jared shortly after because he's more interested in Holly than her (could be marital issues and now Jared finds someone that he feels cares for him deeply) and immediately goes insane. She demands they stop seeing each other and becomes destructive. Holly and Jared, now with their feelings out there, keep going. Holly is happy to feel something she hasn't felt in years. Jared (and this is just a theory) sees how crazy and destructive Heidi is being and realizes when he's with Holly, he's happy. They grow closer while Jared and Heidi grow apart. Jared wants out, goes to personal and couples therapy, and tries to find a way, while still keeping a hold on Holly. Holly wants to be with Jared and doesn't love Ross any more, so they divorce. She moves to be closer to Jared, expecting he was going to leave her. Maybe he's just too much of a pussy to actually leave, or maybe she threatens to make his life hell if he does. Everything Heidi has comes from Jared and she's admitted to that: cosplays, her business, her car, almost everything. After 7 months, Jared has enough and tells her to move out. He helps Heidi get a new place to live, files the divorce papers, and lets her take the time to move out, paying for movers to take her things to her new home. She decides this is the best time to destroy him, for good or bad intentions. That's how we end up here.

Without a few key pieces of info, we don't know if it's Jared that is the worst part of this or Heidi. Heidi's actions could be justified, or psychotic. Jared could be the bad guy for lying and not caring about his wife, or Heidi could be the bad guy for being destructive and manipulative to the point where Jared starts falling for someone else and wants out.

I want to say it's Jared's fault but Heidi's posted some nasty, vindictive things while fighting anyone that makes her look like anything but the complete victim here. At least it would answer a few questions and connects some dots between each of their stories.

Best case scenario by the time she was jumping jareds bones Ross and Holly's marriage was over in all but name so it was already agreed upon free game to be with other people.
Second 'best' case scenario they also had an autistic open relationship that Holly probably weaseled her way into.
Worst case scenario shes lying and Ross is too nice to say anything.

This might also explain why Heidi thought Ross would be on Jared and Holly's side
The only problem I have is that Heidi pretty much said she never confirmed with Ross if he was okay with polyamory. She told Jared and Holly to get Ross's permission. So the only proof we have is Holly's statement and I'm not that fond of listening to someone who kidnaps birds

Based on that VR Chat video and his reaction to just being cheated on in his first relationship, plus what Heidi says here, I don't think he knew. That said, "I thought he didn't like me" is a stupid reason to not talk to him.

She's been caught twisting things or lying to save face enough that I don't know if I can believe her. Even in this tweet she's saying she said no to poly before this, but she's had a long term side boyfriend. If she's screaming into the phone at Holly just a week or two later, she doesn't go to Ross and say anything? Bullshit.

The VR Chat video could be taken two ways. Rewatched it and he could be talking about monogomy because of cheating, or he could be talking about it because polygamy is what ended his marriage. So it'd still work.
