No police record, no evidence... this whole metoo is shady to me. If you got raped, yeah you would wait 15 years and not claw the dude's eyes out before going to the po-po?

Or if you caught someone fondling your 12 year old daughter, wouldn't you kick his teeth in that instant, instead of waiting X years to bitch on twitter?

Wait, a kiss on the cheek is rape nowdays. Guess you can't call the po-po on that!

No, twitter stories are not evidence. I could tweet about how Person X stole 50 Rembrants from me....

So until there is actualy proof and actual crime, not just him being an asshat, I remain dubious.

If it’s a major celebrity who has enough money to buy God or destroy your career, I can understand staying silent for awhile like with the Harvey Weinstein shit. Vic, though? He’s a fucking anime voice actor. I doubt he has power over really any one.

Animegate is coming and its going to be one hell of a trip.

Thankfully, the language barrier is still very much in tact and it will only involve dubs and shitty American ‘anime’.

Isn't that the same chick who was friends with the channel awesome rapist/child molester who offed himself, but she clearly knew about his goings on for years, and didn't say shit until other people brought it to light? Who the fuck cares what she thinks about other potential sex offenders?

The actual story is that a handful of Channel Awesome people (including Doug, Rob, and Mike-- the bosses, really) knew about what was going on with JewWario and covered it up after he killed himself. MarzGurl apparently did not know about it at all until Channel Awesome released a statement accidentally revealing the information in response to the #ChangeTheChannel document.

As I remember it, MarzGurl was far closer to JewWario than any of the CA management were. If they knew about it (and for what it's worth, I'd buy that they did,) What makes you think that she didn't? I also seem remember hearing a ton of other people who weren't even that close to him (like Iron Liz) saying *she* knew certain things way before they became public knowledge. (Though to "her" credit, I don't think I've ever seen "her" virtue signal, then or now.)

I think it was more that they let him leave on his own terms rather than publically fire him because in the end, a police investigation would still need the victims to cooperate, especially since some were fans of his. Holly, being the head of HR at the time, kept that info from most of the Channel Awesome contributors years after she was no longer working for CA and yet still tweeted a memorial on the anniversary of his suicide before Change the Channel even happened and supposedly only told a few people just before the google doc was published and Marzgurl still apparently wasn't informed till we all found out.

So her "friends" didn't even bother taking her aside in the years where she worked on completing Jewario's Famikamen Rider project and making that video where she thanked Toei for making Kamen Rider Ex-Aid (which had a videogame motif like JW's project) to let her know she may not want to do this. And that's about why she gets some degree of sympathy out of that whole mess...up until KickVic started.

Perhaps MarzGurl is so gung-ho about crucifying Vic Mignogna because of how ugly things got with the #ChangeTheChannel document?

She probably felt some sort of heat when the info came out about JewWario, since she was so close to him. Perhaps she's overcompensating by using this as a huge soapbox moment? That, and she's still buddies with Hope Chapman, correct?

Man. Everyone involved with Channel Awesome is a fucking mess. lol.

EDIT: I just found this video of Vic at Bak-Anime. He actually had a panel on February 3rd (after all of the allegations came out in the open).

I don't know, man. Showing up to a public event to face the fans in person ... Doesn't seem like something a guilty man would do, right? The first 15 minutes of this video actually kind of broke my heart. Even if he didn't acknowledge some people's personal spaces for all of these years ... That still isn't sexual assault or molestation. It's ridiculous to call hugging sexual assault. Absolutely ridiculous.

This whole thing really sucks if he's innocent.

I agree, I can see the plausability if it is a very high authority figure and you work under him like Harvey Weinerstein. Plus he looks like straight out from some sort of nazi propaganda film about greedy jews.

Still, there was a local case here where the only cop in a small village raped a girl, and got busted for it pretty fast and pretty hard.

So yeah, I don't think he is that much of a powerhouse. Especially to con-going girls and their parents. There is no way his "anime fame" would stop any enraged parent from reporting him to the police right that instant.

I am assuming that parents who let their kids go to these nerdy cons would care if the kid gets badtouched. I may be wrong there, but I hope I'm not.

So in general, these "it happened x years ago" twitter accusations always smell like Kavanaugh to me. Rape is not something you think about "Oh, it was just once, lets not make a fuss and don't go to the police." That's what people say when the Mcdonalds cashier forgets to put their fries in the take away bag. Not when they get raped.

Or is it really all just that he hugged some girls? Don't really see how that is such a huge crime.

She's always been a complete and utter fraud that doesn't know a thing about anime except for a handful of silly shows like Digimon.
Her only "selling point" to her videos was "OMG! It's a GURRL talkin' 'bout ANIME!!" And now she can't even do that. She's just another dorky gangly dude on the internet now.

EDIT: MarzGurl is organizing a mass false flagging campaign against some guy whose video she disagrees with.

Also there's TONS of people who make videos about anime now. People with millions of subscribers and views. Hope's new stuff can't even make 10K views. Her ship has long sailed, and it's not like she was ever popular to begin with. Her biggest exposure was probably the Digimon crossover video with Doug.

MarzGurl is pulling a Mundane Matt pretty early it seems. Unspoken rule of YouTubers is to not flag other YouTubers videos like this.

In my personal experience anime cons are veritable maelstroms of sweaty underage badtouching. Usually each other though, not the adults (the adults were too busy doing acid and watching subs of Akira). Hugging strangers without their permissions is was totally acceptable. The environment has changed since I retired though, I admit. Still, if you were a teenage virgin you could always go to a con and pick up some fat anime lesbian to get your dick wet. It was writhing with horny teenagers in costumes talking about their favorite fetish fanfictions and carrying around spanking paddles that said 'Uke/Seme' on them. As angry as the parents would be if their kid got molested, kids probably kept quiet because they didn't want to be banned from going to anymore cons or have their 'experimenting' outed. Really, Anime cons were only slightly better than furry cons when it comes to sexual shit. But like I said, they're a little more sterile nowadays than when I hung around (like '03-'13). Which might be why now these accusations are coming more to light. It was just part of the culture in those days, now it's rape.

Also, fuck this topic for making my brain dredge up the memories of 'uke' and 'seme' terminology.

I'm calling it. The moment Vic lawyers up these accusations will be dropped since they likely won't hold water in a court if law. I'm really hoping Vic can prove his innocence here because it be nice for once for someone to win against false accusations made towards them.

He did say something on his Discord about already having spoke to his lawyer about going after the ringleaders of these allegations.

I'm outraged at the people who wanted to alter and edit "evidence" to make him look bad.

I'm outraged at Anime News Network, for using fan pictures WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT to "expose" Vic. Those fans have come out to say that they didn't like their pictures being used because their interaction with Vic was not an uncomfortable or negative one.

And I'm outraged at the asshole voice actors who are only interested in virtue signaling.

Yeah, I'm almost at a point where my opinion has made a 180 in this situation. I see an opportunity for SJWs to ruin a man who has been outspoken about his Christianity right now.
