2+ Supreme Court picks alone make me very happy with my vote. I sleep better at night knowing that Hillary did not got those picks.

Granted, that doesn't mean Trump should fold on immigration, as that was his #1 draw with his voting base. I'm just saying that, for me, the Supreme Court picks were more than enough to make me vote for him.

Apologies for not archiving I’m on mobile right now, but the tl;dr is that there’s nothing stopping the DoD from making a wall across a legally undefined “drug corridor” without a state of emergency OR Congress. Unless an Obama-era Hawaii district judge tries to pull shit, he gets the wall and the Dems get nothing.

On a more anecdotal note I have a relative who works for the federal government who was dead set on getting the wall. She wasn’t worried about pay because no shutdown has EVER not voted for back pay for furloughed employees. She was making a puzzle for fun. She called me yesterday a bit disappointed but hopeful. Don’t know got much of a barometer that is for the views of Trump diehards at large though.
 
Trump's America is just people sperging out over nothing and the news media trying to throw around the same two news points related to Trump every day. We are nowhere near the Apocalypse.

I'm not entirely enthused with this. I think Trump may have bollixed a play, though not the whole game.

But he's still having to fight Cocaine Mitch and the establishment GOP to get things rolling. An awful lot of those faggots don't want the cheap labor spigot to be twisted off or at least turned down.

We'll see in three weeks. He has to know this is make or break for him; if he can't at least start the wall, he might as well not even bother running in 2020. The media will bury anything else he's done and anoint the Democrat primary winner as their magical messiah. Worse, his core voter base will most likely walk away from him.

If he does have a plan, this might be a good play. The Democrats have been harping and harping at him about the 'poor federal workers' with crocodile tears for weeks, and Pelosi has been nagging about 'when the government isn't shut down maybe we'll talk' so by putting in a temporary opening he forces their hand. It'll be harder for the Democrats to hold out and stonewall because it contradicts their stated objections about negotiation/speeches during a shutdown.

If Pelosi doesn't come to the table or lets the SOTU speech go, she's going to look like a manipulative shyster playing with Federal salaries, and if Trump has an Ace to unilaterally build the wall he could end up making the Democrats looks like the insane obstructionists they are.
 
I kinda hope his hand gets forced in such a way that we get the wall and the Dems get a nice steaming turd on their collective faces. I can already see the frothing rage and near heart attacks people will be put under. If he doesn't get anything from this play however I'd be highly disappointed. Not so disappointed that I would want to change my vote to whatever progressive automaton is running for the Dems, I'll just be having less fun.

In a recent episode that Jean wrote himself, called Daddicus Finch, they made a joke about how Trump supporters don't want to talk to the media because they're ashamed that he's president, and that the media constantly persists, but they never get an answer, thus proving that they are right about Trump's presidency being "DUH WORST". The joke doesn't even work because there's only a small minority of Trump supporters who really are ashamed and remember, jokes work when they are rooted in some kind of reality.
