The
@GethN7 Maneuver is an online tactic of fucking
terrifying effectiveness that can be used on any Social Media platform.
It takes a lot of care, time, and practice to pull off, but the results are fucking
amazing.
The tactic goes as follows: When engaging, switch off your emotions entirely. Always be polite, respectful, and forthright. Never go on the attack, instead sticking almost coldly to fact - bonus points if you call out bad actors on your own side in the process and openly acknowledge both sides of the issue. If you do it right, your opposition will
fucking implode due to their own inability to handle shit, and, short of them going full ResetERA on you, you will basically win any argument online using it, either through cold logic, persuasion, or by your opponent chimping out.
Geth himself used to use this tactic to hilarious effect when engaging GG opponents online. An interesting side-effect is that Geth broke no rules, obeyed every request given to him, and constantly was respectful; when a GG opponent told Geth not to contact them further,
he fucking didn't, and he thanked them for their time. By doing this, he actually managed to win several GG opponents over and got them to think for themselves, which is kind of impressive.
The maneuver rather infamously provoked one of the biggest chimp-outs ever had by an Anti-GGer on Twitter. Brianna Wu infamously appeared on a site specifically for mothers, and, without even reaching for the obvious (that Wu's a tranny), Geth brought up that Wu has no kids, and ergo asked why she was being given platform time over other content creators who did and were more influential and important in Wu's field.
The
actual reason was that Frank Wu was IRL friends with the site owner, but they couldn't admit to that, so Wu then proceeded to chimp the fuck out in the comments, calling in Arthur Chu to back her up, only for Geth to dismantle him as well. Wu ultimately accused Geth of stalking her and demanded Geth never contact her again, he didn't, but Wu was fucking
nettled, since he kept being a thorn in Wu's side by bringing up unpleasant facts she didn't want to address. Wu pulled every string she could to get Geth deplatformed, ultimately using her ties to Twitter to get Geth permanently suspended without cause in what would go on to be called
the GethN7 Incident. She would then brag about it.
The incident itself led Geth to becoming a full-fledged shitposter, and, ultimately, later, a Kiwi.
