This is exactly what the community's problem is. It's an entirely open group with no vetting process to speak of: anyone can just suddenly slap a label on themselves and say "hey I'm a furry now" and it's what lead to the fandom becoming the degenerative shitshow it is today. You can't just revoke the "title" from sickos, all you can do is call them out and make them unwelcome to the point they drop it themselves (which is something that unfortunately doesn't happen often.)
Most have totally given up trying to clean house and now just decide to run damage control which ends up looking even worse.

Someone else on the Farms here has probably already said this, but, it blows my mind that there are communist furries. Furries would seem to be the very epitome of western decadence, a sign of the last days of decaying capitalist society, and yet here they are. Someone needs to explain to the commie furs that if they got their way and a Marxist society, there won't be a Ministry of Fursuits, or a Ministry of Conventions, or a Ministry of Disney Movies.
There will however be a LOT of 5-year plans and hard work. And probably gulags.

Assuming "autistic" here means "on the spectrum" rather than "full-blown autism", I'm inclined to agree that this leans more right. However, if the community keeps growing at its current rate (or faster) and more normies than autists join, this may quickly become more wrong than right in general.

Worth pointing out: this isn't a cop-out answer. Autists aren't the majority (at least in the United States), so by the law of averages, exponential growth will yield more normies joining than autists. Since the growth rate is so consistently high (15% growth means doubling every 4.6 years; 20% growth means doubling every 3.5 years), even if your general statement is correct, it will almost certainly be time to reassess your statement in the very near future.
Of course, this kind of growth can't keep up forever. It will eventually taper off. When that happens, if the majority remains on the spectrum, then this obligation towards reassessment and openmindedness vanishes.

The fact that furries seem to make it a point of pride to see how quickly they can get the ambulance to the con hotel for an alcohol poisoning call (I'd put money on that being the reason, btw) just blows my mind.
I know Anthrocon one year had EMS show up for alcohol poisoning on Thursday night and come to find out not only was it the first call of the con, but it was also an adult minor (because underage drinking isn't rampant at cons or anything).

Nazi furries don't really make any more sense since they'd be gassed in any society like they claim to want.
