Who talks like this that often? If someone keeps telling me they're being honest I have to assume they're taking the piss. Does he think if he says it a lot people will just think it's true? I mean it must be working for him with some people.
If you ain't offering some kind of evidence of your ahnesty then it's literally just your word. And the word of a known compulsive liar means nothing.

That’s muscle atrophy and it’s bad for someone in his 30s. It reminds me of my relative who had ALS, her arms started to do that. In her defense, though, she had a degenerative disease that destroyed her muscles.
Hope Phil doesn’t have muscular dystrophy. Don’t wish that upon anyone. Probably just an indicator that he never does anything and is completely sedentary. I’m reluctant to believe he actually goes shopping or does anything. If he and Kat actually do shop and whatnot, then I bet Phil doesn’t carry or unload anything. “Sorry, honey, I can’t unload these groceries, my back, you understand”.

I take offense to that. I put in much more effort than this fat bastard. It's just another time to exploit peoples happiness for him. Family? fuck em, especially if I don't need their help, time for self-reflection or improvement? fuck that. Play the woe is me card and try and guilt people into donating for my completely unjustified and unnecessary existence? Sign me right the fuck up.
Any time he can possibly exploit something he will. Dead Aunt, dying parents (even though they're not, his Dad is like 60 and still working), depression, he's a literal fucking ghoul. Going from holiday to holiday feeding on the scraps of happiness hoping that people throw him a few dollars.
He has to pretend he likes Christmas, just like he has to pretend he's happily in a relationship, or pretend he's not a 36 year old man who doesn't understand the current youth market, or the games he plays. A very sad man playing happy.
he tries to maintain an image of constant positivity but hes the opposite. every day he is negative and when he interacts socially,its always negatively

Phil’s behavior just isn’t reflective of someone in a financial crisis. Yesterday when he started talking about the begathon he was calm and collected, you would honestly never know he was in any kind of trouble whatsoever. He goes from forcing out tears on camera to acting like his old self the next day, doesn’t even miss a beat with muting/banning trolls. One dude even said he’s been a content creator forever and that he has never experienced the copyright issues that Phil bitches about constantly and that the system doesn’t work the way he claims it does... “Okay I’ve had enough, this guy is constantly negative and always has to try and make it seem like I’m a liar. Fuck this guy, fuck you. You’re not welcome around here anymore.”

Here's my theory:
Phil isn't $16k in debt. Just like he wasn't $4k-5k in debt last year. Most likely close to that, but as everyone that posts on this thread knows, Dark ALWAYS stretches the truth to the absolute breaking point. For example:
Last Year:
"I NEED TO PAY MY TAXES AND SAVE MY HOUSE"
PS: "Also, Kat needs to move in with me...don't worry about that..."
This Year:
"I NEED TO PAY MY TAXES AND SAVE MY HOUSE"
PS: "Also my parents really wanna see me again, and meet Kat...don't worry about that..."
Phil's actual big problems are reversed, where the "PS" is what he's really trying to get done. And if you ask him about it and say he lied about where the money was going, he'll insult you and say that he always said where the money was going, just not where the majority of it ended up...he'll put the rest on credit cards.

One other thing to consider is how shitty Phil is with money. I mean, he claims to have put $10k of tax-related stuff (the back state taxes and the attorney) on credit cards. You're ascribing financial sensibility to Phil that I don't think we can reasonably assume--it's entirely possible he actually owed (and owes) the tax money, and he just chose to spend it elsewhere. That's especially true this year when his biggest "issue" was his channel shutting down on Youtube for like 3 weeks, which pity money from Twitch readily covered.

I was watching when the BLOPS player went on mic and trolled Phil, including the (admittedly weak) part about Phil spending all his money on fast food. I couldn't get over just how much it affected Phil for the rest of the stream. He KEPT bringing it up.
I think it was an easy way to dismiss the other things the guy said, by concentrating on one part that was a little weak. (Even so, Phil was playing dumb by not knowing it was referring to DSP Tries It. I'm sure you can find a clip of Phil moaning when he had to stop doing DSP Tries It because the money he made on the videos didn't even make up for the cost of the burger that he can't afford.)
I watched for the next 20 minutes and Phil wouldn't stop talking about it! Even filling silences by having another chuckle and saying, "Can you believe that guy? He thinks I spend all my money on fast food! Ack ack ack." Then I went away and did other things for 3 hours. I popped back in to see the end of his Black Ops stream... and fuck me... Phil was STILL talking about the fast food guy! Like, if he turns it into enough of a meme it can't hurt him.

So the emergency stream is now over and a weekend went by. A good time to present people with a new project which shall #SaveTheHouse.
Was there anything besides "Just tip me more money from now on"? Something? Hey people, say something. Something except for crying into the microphone and then just continue his shitty Lets Plays? Any announcement how he will change stuff up? Some changes to his behaviour towards the audience? Some changes to his patreon? Changes to his schedule?
I don't read any of that here, quite the opposite, it's the same old never changing Dave who is the whole reason for his current apparent situation. Well, he reminded people to donate and pressed the elephant tear button, time to call it a day.
I have to agree here, someone with these biiig proooblems would go into an adrenalin rushed panic mode and tries several stuff he would have never done, because FUCK IT, if he changes nothing then it's Game Over. But no? Nothing? The only winning move is to move to the gin cabinet where all the problems get drowned in a magical way? Buying more christmas lights and an animated christmas dog? Yeah I start to doubt the entire existence of his supposed problem.
I wouldn't dare to give him any suggestions, but it sounds really odd when he needs 16.000 dollar very very very fast and he did absolutely nothing to make this a reality. Just saying, you might wanna move your ass to survive. Survive or burn down.

Never underestimate how a lifetime of entitlement and bailouts can make you complacent.
He's never faced consequences for his bad decisions, so his behavior fits perfectly with my experience of similar people.
