I really don't think Chris understands the concept of patiently shopping around for a better deal, or can identify a good one unless he stumbles upon it before a more expensive option. Christory has proven time and time again a fool and his money are easily parted.

Fair enough. My point was that if there are cases where Chris sells something for more than he bought it for, does not mean he is a business owner. It just means that he got a good price on at least one of the ends. It only becomes a business when that price gap is the sole purpose of him buying something.

Whether or not he got a good deal out of effort and patience, knowledge of the market, or dumb luck, is not relevant to that discussion.

Fresh money? Does Chris think that people can just buy wild fresh organic money from the Money Farmer's market? Tugboat should be had came to port by now. So why would Chris begs for more money??? HMMMMM????

'fresh money'... it's great that a pudgy middle-aged autistic white dude from Virginia might be one of the best embodiments of 'nigger rich' that I can think of

He'd probably shit himself while wearing them and try to sell them like that.

then half the forum would explode when he succeeds

That naturally cancels itself out when Chris ends up buying something for a seriously inflated price.

He also uploaded a bunch of pics of the pages, like this:

Here is a most Lovely Collection of Thirty-Five 22Karat Golden Replica US Stamps, previously owned by Chris Chan’s Father, Robert Franklin Chandler, Jr., AKA, the Internet Lumberjack. Gold is always IN and Valuable! And to have this set will make most Christorians mouths water! Either that, or the basic gold value will be good too. Also includes five Elvis Presley Stamp Covers.

I hope Bull tells Chris too cool it off with this stuff, or he's going to blow through all his valuable stuff before Barb dies.

Did Chris understand the part of Bob's final letter where he described how much he loved those stamps and wished for Chris to keep it?
Bob had given Chris permission to sell his stuff.

Bob powiedział(a):
All of the physical objects and things I have, we'll talk about. Your mother, Barbara, or your Aunt Harriet will keep for you until you are ready for them. If you don't think you will ever need some of them, or don't want some of them, don't waste them. Try to do something with them that you and your mother think I would do. Recycle them back into the world, for the world to use. After all, remember we are only the custodians for a while, and what is one man's junk is another man's treasure.

I'm more annoyed that he's taken to calling his dead father Bob, yet assigns solemn reverence to fictional cartoons horses.

That's actually a key benefit to Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection. Not that the soul is actually visiting them, more like that certain dream character is simply a manifestation of your memories.

If Chris would forget about the cartoons for one minute, he'd learn a lot more from his idea of a "sister dimension."

That isn't really a stamp collection. The stamps are relatively common and pretty much worthless. It's all the Franklin Mint gold plated trappings of the first day covers that make them look valuable. I doubt there's much call for stuff like this.

I did a very quick search and found this. https://www.amazon.com/GOLDEN-REPLICAS-UNITED-STATES-STAMPS/dp/B003A797YK

The book is probably worth well under $100. Maybe less than $50. https://www.stampcommunity.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10320

The book can be had for $50-$100 from other vendors on ebay. I'm guessing it's just a thin gold plate and has little value in terms of precious metals.

But it is special that Bob had his name printed on it. This is the first item Chris has posted that I really don't think he should sell. Hopefully he doesn't chip down the price until someone buys it at $100 or something.

I seriously hope no one buys it. Bob may have given permission for him to sell his belongings, but just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

A yard sale is a good analogy for what Chris does, and it is not operating as a business.

Primarily because, unlike a secondhand store, there is no systematic effort to restock.
Selling random stuff from his home is a portion of what he does, though. There is also him selling autographed cards and photos. He restocks those.

The best rule-of-thumb test for whether you are operating a business by finding deals and marking things up is whether you use the items before you resell them.

If Chris went around finding good deals on whatever he could find and then immediately sold them for a marked up price without using them himself, he would be operating a business.

If he tries to find good deals on things he wants to own, then owns them and enjoys them for a while, and then sells them on for whatever he can get for them, he is not operating as a business.
In Chris's case, there's a market for people buying stuff from him used and at above their standard prices.

His autograph items satisfy that requirement. With the autographed photos, he paid for frames and photos and netted $1,525 in sales over a few months.

Gold is easy to make what is basically atomically thick leaf. So yeah, there's not much there in the way of gold really.

He probably will though.

Also at this rate, this fat dumbass will have sold everything with any value before Barb dies and be completely fucked when she does.

I hope Barb gets so senile that she screams at Chris to hock the gold stamps at a cash 4 gold place and then somehow hulks out and wrecks his room and flips and breaks his shit again for selling it on ebay/not getting enough money for her from it. And forces him to sleep in the same room again.
