Unpopular Opinions about Video Games

Yeah, I dont know either.

As a sperg who has been playing since he was 5, I for the life of me, will never get to understand, how one person can genuinely think, last of us is the best thing in the history of the medium.

I liked the bit where you had to get the plank for the other character. That was cool. And the bit where you walked really slowly while they explained the sub-Stephen-King plot too.

Open-world sandbox games were fun at first but end up burning me out. The only exception could be STALKER with its Call of Chernobyl mod and Mount & Blade.

I find Wind Waker HD less visually appealing than the original, and that's pretty much why I prefer the original over it. Yeah, it's kinda petty to prefer the original over the HD version considering how many quality-of-life enhancements it offers, but frankly the HD version is way too bright and oversaturated. I'm not usually bothered by bright lights, but Wind Waker HD makes my eyes hurt after a while. Plus the game ends up looking washed out compared to the original's richer colors.

Also the Wii U gamepad feels a little off compared to the GC controller, mostly because of the placement of the analog stick. If you try to map the bow or the boomerang on the face buttons, there's no way you're going aim properly with the right stick above the button (and no, I don't use the gyroscope feature; I've always hated how it felt).

If you hack your Wii U, you can get other controllers to work. Even Gamecube controllers

- Goat Simulator
goat sim was one of the biggest disappointments
i watched the videos, goats bouncing and glitching around

and when i played it... nothing. nothing funny happened.

- If they spent half the time and money on AI as they do on high def graphics, shit might get challenging without bullet sponges.
i hate it when "more difficult" means "enemies eat bullets for breakfast" or "bullets do tons more damage"
i don't mind if enemies are slightly tougher or if you're slightly weaker on higher difficulties, but if i turn it up to hard i expect the AI to be more competent or move faster.
it's why i don't bother with higher difficulties on payday 2, you unload a whole clip into a cop and he's still standing, that's just not fun.

I low key like McKids. I don't find it bad. Sure, it has slippery controls; I found it fun.

I am not big on Pokemon, but I feel like I am one of the few who enjoyed Generation 5, mainly Black 2.

Didn't like Earthbound when I was younger, and I still don't like it.

I love Mother 1 and 3 mainly due to the stories, but Earthbound is just too random and boring.
i like the story, and i like watching other people play it. but i found it a chore to play through it myself.
i guess i lost patience for random battles, and some of those status effects make me want to throw my computer against the wall.

speaking of which, the astronauts you're checking up on in the turing test are infuriatingly mad, and so is turing that
letting them turn off the AI buddy in the end is the dumbest thing you could do. TOM only had the best of intentions, and the only reason turin got fucked over by being infected with the alien virus is because the crew flips it's shit and couldn't be arsed to take "death" with dignity. if i was turing, i would have fucking killed everyone because how dare you do this to me.

and firewatch.. you know.. i like the ending
i'm glad there wasn't some secret government thing watching over you. i thought the whole twist of it being some mad hermit living in the forest to hide his tragic secret was not only touching, but a great relief. in fact if they did go with the SPOOPY SECRET GOVERNMENT route it would have been flat and a let down
