I may have an explanation.Furry fandom is one toxic culture.
And perhaps what HurrDurr needs to learn is, if being a furry jeopardizes his reputation and career then DONT BE A FURRY. If he wants to save himself embarrassment or ridicule then DON’T BE A FURRY. If being a successful professional is important to him then hang with those guys, not furries. Why is it furfags think theirs is the only social group?
Furfags when they come in, as soon as they do, they're immediately tainted. There's no going back, like being bitten by a rabid dog. Even if they were to leave their past behind they'd be immediately referred back to when they were a furry, even if they previously left and denounced the fandom.
Because of this, many refuse to leave, and few who leave end up returning. The very few who do end up leaving the fandom for good burn away everything they've had to start anew with a fresh identity, and even then someone with the effort and the autism can dig up their old self and show it to everyone else.
It's like smoking, don't start, because even if you quit you're still gonna be wishing you hadn't.
