I may have an explanation.

Furfags when they come in, as soon as they do, they're immediately tainted. There's no going back, like being bitten by a rabid dog. Even if they were to leave their past behind they'd be immediately referred back to when they were a furry, even if they previously left and denounced the fandom.

Because of this, many refuse to leave, and few who leave end up returning. The very few who do end up leaving the fandom for good burn away everything they've had to start anew with a fresh identity, and even then someone with the effort and the autism can dig up their old self and show it to everyone else.

It's like smoking, don't start, because even if you quit you're still gonna be wishing you hadn't.

Bingo. But I would say that high levels of exposure to furfaggotry lower life expectancy far more than smoking a pack or two each hour.

In the most extreme of constant-hardcore-furry-degeneracy-dependency syndrome, maybe consider switching to a drug addiction instead. At least it's cheaper and somewhat more manageable as well as treatable. But to be honest, what's the difference fam?

One is a debilitating illness that destroys the lives of the victims and their families.

The other is a drug addiction.

For many teens it's the same thing as becoming a tranny or vegan except it has a subscription cost. For just $120 a month you can become a somebody and have friends add and interact with you left and right because you've become skilled at spending money on art. Horrible person? Hot OC! Child rapist? Bad Dragon employee!

I think the reason it lingers is because there's very little persona culture online outside fandoms. People who don't belong to one have a random meme or anime picture as their avatar. Sure, you may be 'that monster girl avatar' guy, but the second you get something unique to you, it obviously sticks.

I used to play a team-based competitive game, and the absolute lengths people would go to in pursuing a custom team avatar was insane. And that was whether it was just the team logo in a unique color or something else. Here too people would add you solely because of your supposed prestige, so I can kind of understand those willing to spend $120 a month on their ego, but that obviously makes it harder to leave the fandom. There's nothing to replace it; you go back to monster girl avatars and nothingness. Why not 'stay' furry with less engagement?

Lately, It's been on my mind. The consistent e-begging in the fandom. It seems like even a "decent" furry would be deemed important enough to help, regardless of the circumstances.

I've always been told to earn my own income if I want anything for myself and taught from a young age that it's generally a bad thing to ask for money or stuff. I know furries are like they are and that's why I never entered the fandom (and thank fuck for that), and while it doesn't make me mad or feel anything in particular and I would never do it myself and don't care about seeing it; It's confusing how fucking casual this e-begging is and how normal it seems to be, like it's a part of the furry fandom.

But isn't it a nice change to see a community that helps out when someone is in a desperate financial situation, though? Well, that would mean all other options have been carefully considered and exhausted; Basically, that person be living on the streets with no-one to turn to and in deep fucking shit. Like unable to work due to having no arms and legs, that kind of situation.

Gotta love that unfiltered arrogance coming from fully-grown "adults", I mean come on fuck those KF trolls disturbing my write-up for this months rent and bills. And this fursuit won't pay for itself.

Heh. Furries.

I read his website a while back. The magic stroke medicine is weed, so their insurance doesn't cover it. The rest is just baaawing about how they aren't disabled enough for disability. I don't know why they can't take some of that money and grow their own (although, I'll admit to having never grown a damn thing other than an ego)
