I do not think she lied about her weigh in or that it was faked.
She is almost 400lbs. People who are so fat can drop weight rapidly for many reasons.
To maintain that size they need to eat a lot of calories so there is a plethora of bad food choices she can eliminate vs someone whose diet is already strict and has reaped nearly all the benefits from it except those that would come with eating completely clean. (i.e Leaning out to sub 20% bf levels for females. Sodium intake comes to mind which is extremely high in fast food which Chantal eats often.)
She also has that much more mass where her body can store water.
Her physical activity is almost nonexistent so even a minimum effort at exercise is significant to her body vs an already active and trained person deciding to train a little harder or 6 days a week instead of 5.
Having to move more weight means burning more calories or requiring more energy to move that mass over the same distance in the same time than a normal weight person would require.
Her BMR (Calories burned by your body to keep you alive.) is also higher than someone who is smaller. Her body has to use more calories to pump blood through all that mass. To expand her lungs against the pressure of her fat. There are also a higher amount of tissue and cells that the body has to maintain, repair and replace, requiring more calories to perform. If you put Chantal on the same calorie limit as someone half her size, she’s lose weight at twice the rate at first. This would slowly drop off until she was the same size as the smaller person and their BMRs would then match and she would no longer have an advantage.
A 9lb loss is chump change for someone so huge. The true test is going to come when the weight loss slows as she gets smaller and she has to deal with eating human sized portions.
I’m betting all this praise and the big sense of accomplishment over 7 days of kind of trying might be her downfall later when it gets harder. She should try to be humble and keep her head down, but instead she rambles on in this video about how much she knows about how to lose weight, the stupid juicing/smoothie fad/ plus admits you can eat whatever you want and still lose as long as you watch calories as if she hasn’t been in denial about that fact and been a cunt to commenters who pointed it out this entire time.
