Can some of you legal people give us an overview of how federal cases like this work? I mean, i know this specific case is going nowhere, but what would be the next steps for a case that actually started moving? Specifically, I'm wondering how it works when the plaintiff and defendant are in two different states... Where do things take place? And if plaintiff is too indigent to pay filling fees, would he still be expected to travel to make appearances?
 
With all the shit going on Russ is better off going to Taylor's worst enemy Kane West, with his lawlsuit. Seeing how if he did, he'd have a direct line to Trump, Kim Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner. I'm sure Russ can overlook the fact that Kanye is a "Saggy pants thug" just to fight Taylor.

Russ threatened to report that private investigator to the NAPPS: National Association of Professional Process Servers. So yeah, it appears Russ was trying to hire him to serve papers on TS.

Process service isn't a fixed price sort of deal. On a difficult job, it costs more. It could be the process server initially quoted him the minimum price -- that's the price if everything goes perfectly, knock on the door and drop paper on some unsuspecting average Joe. Then Russ told him that he's suing Taylor Swift, and the price went up because it's harder to serve papers on celebrities.

I've discussed it with several people, and on the remotest of chances that this makes it to a courtroom, I have friends in Nashville...I will buy a plane ticket as soon as we get a trial date. Hell, in a perfect world, one my friends might even be chosen as juror :) I will consider it a vacation to see my friends, and a small payback to the community. I'm gonna go either way, just will coincide it with the trial date if I can.

But the plausibility of this actually making it to trial is so remote that the light from plausibility would take a million years to reach us.

I still need to read through the entire filing, but I think the best part for me personally is that he is filing pro se after all his talk of having these great lawyers on his side. But what makes that even better is the fact that we might see him take the bus to Tennessee for an immediate defeat over which he can then stew on his entire way back.
 
Dear lord, I read it all. He's suing because he's too exceptional to be able to live without celebrities telling him to not bother barking up their trees is his argument and now it's a federal court case because this timeline is amazing!

Too bad this will be dismissed the first time Skordy hits town, no, not too bad, perfect.
