What exactly is Doug's aversion to youtube? I don't know anything about how it works when you try to make money off youtube videos, but most people don't seem to have much of a problem with it. Channel Awesome is the one big exception I can think of. They used to use blip until that stopped being an option, and even now they insist on keeping their own website up and running.

Probably the rather draconian content ID stuff, given the amount of footage from the original works they tend to incorporate.

that and he is probably bitter about what youtube did back when he started his reviews. See, before he had channelawesome, he started off at youtube like anybody else. And they canned him because of the aforementioned content of others integrated in the videos

Yeah, I think he actually tried hopping around with multiple youtube accounts back then. He's not bitter for nothing, I guess, but it IS possible to do a review without actually using (or abusing) so much movie footage. Very possible, actually, but what he's doing isn't really reviewing in his NC videos. It's more like riffing as he summarizes the whole movie. Which is fine, but he shouldn't get pissy about getting burned by youtube after throwing himself into the fire so much.

If they were ever give up on the weird 90’s Peter Pan Lost Boys like Nostalgia stupidity both Walker brothers could probably do reasonably well Voice acting. They each have a good repertoire of funny voices and good vocal range. Of course the problem there is it’s a small community and everybody knows everyone else. And at least somebody will know someone wronged by the brothers or Michaud.

They tried YouTube and while they currently dump their content there since literally all the other alternatives dried up, they've had questionable luck.

While Doug is an autist, let's not pretend YouTube isn't a mismanaged dumpster fire.

YouTube is very claim happy when you use other people's content in your videos and while other YouTubers have figured out elegant solutions to avoid copyright detection (flipping the footage, tinting it, adding some kind of frame, etc), Doug never has. His workaround, when he needs one, is to just re-enact the parts of the movies he wants to mock.

That would require actual coordination of people and we all know how that works out. Doug's speech in the beginning is so dispassionate it's almost like he never genuinely interacted with the guy.
 
If Doug walked we'd get the new sensation "That Black Guy With The Voice" Starring Malcolm Ray. And his female counterpart "That Chick With The Diabetes" Starring Tamara Chambers.

I'm not saying this is a good idea, but Mike seems as thick as shit, he might give it a shot is all I'm saying. Besides, store brand imitation NC might be entertaining, just for the novelty

Doug doesn't understand that a major studio might think that using up to 20 minutes worth of clips and detailing every plot point of the movie might be stretching the concept of fair use to an incredulous degree.

Dan Olson knows Michaud's reputation as firing people for spurious reasons (which he does do) and in his desperate bid for attention and gaining his own 15 minutes of fame that Lindsay-senpai has gotten already he tries to be a victim of things. So he now insinuates Michaud is a GGer because of firing him for the 8chan CP thing.
