I think Tyce deserves his own thread but I'm not sure it's this one. Tyce is fucked up and seems to fall back on the idea that if he wasn't blatantly caught doing something then he didn't do it. It doesn't matter how much evidence there is, he will not admit to something unless he feels it's his best option even when it's insanely small and stupid shit. "Prove it" comes up way too much with Tyce and I kind of get the feeling it has something to do with growing up as a spoiled white kid in a broken upper middle class family with a lawyer as a father.
The other interesting thing is Tyce has no problem insulting his dad by calling him an alcoholic but the second Jace did it he became super defensive. Tyce loves getting reactions out of people which is why he loves hanging out with Jace. They also have a lot in common. They both like to boast about shit they probably didn't do, they feel the need to prove themselves when their claims are questioned (Tyce trying to skateboard down the stairs like a moron), they get super defensive about some of their hobbies (Jace and his action figures, Tyce and his tech decks or whatever).
The fucked up thing is Jace has a real mental disorder. Tyce is just fucked up unless he's a sociopath but it'd be jumping the gun to really use that as anything more than an insult. They're functionally not that different when it comes to screwing people over. Jace will fuck you over and possibly feel bad and not know why. Tyce will fuck you over and would actually feel proud of himself for it. Jace could land himself in a mental institute while Tyce would end up in prison by his early 20's.
The fact that there's also Eli in this group just amazes me. I seriously think these guys met in sped.
