I'm amazed that the Tumblr verse doesn't understand the reasons why explicit sex doesn't appear in mainstream Hollywood movies. Even those dirty oppressive cis normies never get to flash their penis or vagina, and only get to show maybe a naked backside for a few seconds.

These people have been angry for so long that their internal hyperbole has become reality. They really don't get why movies with gay characters don't and won't have them walking around coupled to their partner, because that's the plot of a porno. They have lost the plot (LOL) about what movies are supposed to DO, attract an audience and make money while telling a story, they don't exist just to signal to you and piss off your perceived oppressors.

I think that first post "why didn't' the movies honor one of their fans that got killed?" shows the root of the problem, social media makes the fan THINK he/she is part of the cast of a given show/franchise. Thus, when it "ignores' them, they feel personally wounded and righteously angry and blow up in these childish tantrums.

I don't feel bad that Ford Motor Co doesn't know who I am, our relationship isn't a PERSONAL one, it's a business one.

What it means to be a consumer has been seriously blurred by the ability to follow actors and writers on Facebook and other such platforms giving you the illusion you hold as much weight with them as your followed friends and colleagues.

This generation has a skewed idea of their importance and role, so when a franchise doesn't have a character just like them, or doesn't incorporate their ideas, they feel as slighted as not having been invited to a birthday party.

So, why didn't the Star Wars universe "expand" on them?

You mean a universe where an entire PLANET, the sum-total of it's peoples, cultures, arts and sciences, was obliterated to SPITE a rebellious leader wasn't in some way allegorical enough for you?
