I don't mind games that resemble... y'know..... games? But regardless of content, if a videogame is comparable to a choose your own adventure book, then why is it even a game?

I think "Visual Novels" and "Interactive Movies" are just two sides of the same coin. They offer nothing to the gaming genre, they don't push the genre forward in any meaningful way. If I can watch a Youtube Let's Play and get 90% of the experience of the game. Why is it a game?

The only things good to come out of this genre is the porn, which didn't need games in the first place.
