I agree that I don't think Massie can split the vote enough to get a D in the seat, but I do think there is an advantage to him trying. Dems will absolutely pour money into a eye catching victory even if it's a long shot. Beto vs Cruz was a benefit to the party as a whole because a shit ton of money came out of national coffers/donors on the idea of flipping a Texas seat Blue.
