I'm actually interested into politics and I still have no fucking idea who any of these people are.

A lot of liberal “humor” is like that. There is no joke, but you’re supposed to laugh.

For example a few years ago someone tried to make me watch this “comedian” (I forget his name but he’s one of the famous ones, like Oliver but old and sad) where he just played a clip of something Trump said that was rather banal and then the next minute or two was just the Comedian laughing as if he heard a massive joke. No explanation of why it was funny, no explanation of how it was funny, just that it was funny. That’s not humor, that’s gaslighting where you have to pretend to get their jokes otherwise you’re a nazi. It’s why liberal humor is so bad, they’re only pretending it’s funny.
