didn't have my tablet on me for most of the day today, but still wanted to draw so here are some notebook scribbles.

i always have my 2mm lead holder on me, I keep one side of the lead really sharp and the other side really dull. love drawing with the dull side. there's just something about it, idk.

I got carried away making a point to my friend that my hair was long enough to do some random budget Snake cosplay and drew this for like 28 minutes. She already agreed but I just had to. Not facedoxxing here so just have the layer. :P

I finally figured out how to color in manga panels efficiently in IBS paint without wanting to Budd Dwyer myself. Big things happening.

I need a new drawing tablet, can anyone recommend good ones? Preferably one I can carry around.
My favorite drawing tablet is any by XP-Pen. The best portable tablet is Procreate on the iPad. Easily my second favorite drawing tablet, probably your best option.

Been on an Avatar kick recently after watching the leaked movie. The movie was exactly what I expected, better than Korra but still not good.

was digging through some blender files to try and find an old (very) short film I made like 5 years ago. it was a robot cowboy vibing out to curse me good by The Heavy. i think it's lost forever, but I did find this chel from el dorado! sculpted, modeled, textured, and manually rigged all in blender over the course of like 3-4 months. I think I did it on blender 4.1? some things have broken in the current version, shaders are a little whack. I kinda want to get back into blender. it's a lot of fun but dealing with the technical side of things is just mind-numbing to me and I hate having to dig through forum posts and youtube videos to figure out why I just accidentally broke something and how to fix it. started learning to draw to get better at this, but just decided that drawing is more fun and delivers that creative dopamine kick far quicker than blender.

has anyone here tried nomad sculpt on ios? Kinda want to give it a shot but idk about the UI stuff, especially on an ipad. plus i always sculpted with a mouse and idk how well I can do it with a stylus. it's all still very fun though, maybe I'll just do it anyways as a supplement to drawing. I recommend at least trying blender, it's free and you'll find a lot of knowledge is interchangable between the mediums.

I like Nomad! I use it on Android though. It's more similar to the Sculpt mode in blender and Zbrush/Sculptris than it is the actual vertices-and-faces editing and doesn't have a ton in the way of unwrapping UVs or texturing models as far as I've been able to find, and I'm not too sure how in-depth their topology editing stuff is. I haven't found anything for armatures or posing, either, but I'm kinda tarded when it comes to navigating UI sometimes so you might have better luck!
I'm just getting into blender myself and really enjoying making lower-poly models and painting UV textures, even if it's hard to resist the urge to sculpt out every little detail and murder my poor computer with high-poly sculpts. Don't really have anything to show that ain't connected to me irl, but I can def recommend Nomad if you want to sculpt on the go, it does the job wayyy better than any other app I've tried and has a ton of options I haven't even touched yet :)
