I like vance he plays his role well. Holy shit though, Marco Rubio has went from someone I was ambivalent about to becoming my favorite person in this administration. Every single time I hear him speak he is just great. He also handles the press like a fucking champion.
All true, but I find it hard to get behind a spic who voted for amnesty a decade ago.
Here's my thought process on Marco, he has made some shitty statements and done shitty stuff in the past, I'm not sure if this current baby face turn (sorry for the wrestling term, I don't know how else to put it) is just him knowing he was seen as a sellout piece of shit so he is being honest or if he knows what he has to do to be accepted. He's a great SoS when he is expected to do what hte boss tells him to do, and support the boss no matter what. I'm not sure if I trust Foam party marco when he has to stand on his own.
Vance is the same, he has made a turn as well, his seems more earnest, and I trust him more.
Those sorts of hangers on aren't going to be deciding what JD thinks. My position is still that I trust Vance because I don't think Vance trusts anyone.
Complete agree, Vance seems to be, outside of policy, Trump's opposite. Trump trusts too many scumbags, his first term was littered with bill barr, pompeo, and the like. His second term has bondi, that stupid whore noem, gorka, and a few others. I can't imagine Vance will trust those people, and I pray hes' a touch more isolationist than trump. Our hemisphere is fine, we need our backyard in order, but who gives a fuck about MENA really.
If i know Vance will keep miller, bessent, burgum, and RFK jr around, i'll be overjoyed. Maybe he can bring tulsi back into the fold as well. Hegseth i'm 50/50 on, you need a war chief mindset, but I don't like him outside sec defense. (or sec of war, whatever) His ties to Tucker might be a problem, but not as big as some would think.
