I am against as a skeevy distraction from actual problems at best and a way to keep the status quo in power at worst. American turnout is already low, so enforcing mass voter registration purges will make that problem worse. Registration to vote in any case requires identification to be given - your not seeing randos line up to vote. Demanding photo like drivers license in person will damage poor and -yes- minority access because access to those things is already low. Illegals would not have them anyway. Also giving your PII anytime you vote inperson (and you will only be able to vote in person due to proscribing mail-in ballots) will inevitably lead to invasions of privacy and voter independence.
