Axios is reporting that Iran wasn't having a tantrum and is back to negotiating.
The Strategic Deputy of President Pezeshkian has issued an order that nightly pro-Islamic Republic rallies should end after Ayatollah Khamenei’s burial ceremony in July because they ‘threaten national cohesion’
The reason? Very predictable. They know the Iranian population is against the current negotiations!
In the statement of the Strategic Deputy, it explicitly says:
‘The gatherings could change the field dynamics towards creating blockages in the path of diplomacy.’
‘Some of these gatherings have turned into a lever to put pressure on the official structure (i.e. the government and negotiators)…posting a serious obstacle to making strategic and expedient decisions at critical moments’

Because the narrative is all over the place. Trump likes when there's one narrative, He thrives when everyone is beating down on him or when everyone is glazing his ass. If everyone is against him he can get resilient and get motivated. When people congratulate him he gets boastful. (basically the cycle of it's over and we're so back)
When he reads congratulatory postive tweets in the morning but then negative ones at night he gets bipolar, he gets all amped up and proud then gets enraged when he sees people not doing the same.
In regards how the war is being viewed:
There are 3 different factions within iran, IRGC, government, and the people, who all have completely different ideas of whether they won or lost.
2 Factions in europe. Some for some against.
Probably 30 factions in the USA with different levels of nuance because we're insane.
And even within trump's voterbase there's major disagreement.
Also a huge chunk of the world's sanity is entirely dependent on israel, some who will only be happy when it is completely wiped out and others who will only be happy when it is completely safe. Since we landed in the middle both parties are chimping out.
He doesn't know if now is the time to regroup or to celebrate. This is kind of true for everyone honestly, iran, israel, hasan, democrats, leftists, everyone is doing the same thing.
The only real victor here is me. I just wanted the conventional military side of this to go well which it did, all of the talk about how carriers can be sunk by little toys is out the window and the chinese AA tech did fuck all. As far as i'm concerned now that it has been proven military action can be used against iran any future chimpouts can be dealt with so whatever gay deal they come up with now doesn't matter. Their entire strategy of conventional shield > push for enrichment is undermined because the conventional shield doesn't work.

What’s the difference? Iran is willing to let ships pass without tolls; and America is demanding if they control the strait they will demand tolls.
There is no way the USA can take the strait and hold it without a regional war all but assured. Trump started a fire and then complains when someone tries to put it out. Frankly, I wonder if Trump just wants the world to burn so he can try and save it and claim he is Jesus.
