If we can actually get even a squeeze of the juice from all the corruption going on, and the people actually feel like things are moving in the "right" direction where their expectations of governance meet what they actually see, its all over. The midterms instead of being a democrat wave or a split decision with a bunch of waffling becomes...something new. Something unexpected.

California does a bunch of stuff that sounds good on paper but it pisses all of the residents off with shit that is just shuffling around the graft that they get from their obedient, optimistic tax base that wants to "be on the right side of history" acting like California is the end of history and figured all that shit out. (Florida is literally nicer in every way lol for less money)
For example you can't use plastic bags at grocery stores so now groceries stores have to shell out a bit more for "reusable" cloth bags.
But what are the cloth bags made out of? If you guessed plastics congratulations! It's all performative bullshit! Just like how they won't let you have a straw or utencils unless you ask for them, but everyone gives them away anyway because everyone wants straws. Or how those straws had to be paper until people complained so much about them they gave up on that.
Or how they claim to have given a lot of people housing, but they're all just mini houses built on public parking lots and all that does is give homeless people shelter during the night, and there are tons of homeless folks who just don't even bother and lay splayed out wherever they want. Or how cops have new restrictions that don't let them pull people over for shit that indicates someone might be shady like blacked out car windows. Plus this is the state that gave out all those CDLs which actually ended up being found in you guessed it, trucking scandals where people actually died!
I still will never forgive Newsom for demanding everyone wear masks and do this social distancing shit where people couldn't hug their dying loved ones while he was spotted in the VIP room at the french laundry, which somehow was exempt from all that.
I would trust SKINNY JOE MERLINO the former Philly mob boss to run a fucking government more than I would trust Gavin Newsom to run a fucking cheese steak shop.

The answer is California is where silicon valley lies. That's all this state is anymore. It's a distant province of the Roman Empire trying to manufacture consent elsewhere, just like New York. Just like how Austin or Nashville is becoming a shithole bureaucratic corruption center, thats what California is because of Newsom. The state has been devoured by the rich folk in the cities, and the amazing thing is I don't think any of them are actually better off.
California had the opportunity from some Proto-corpo governor the last time Newsom almost got recalled. It had an opportunity to elect a businessman who built private malls that were better than anything public, where people enjoyed going. But the truth is, this is actually like I said, a province of an Empire operating as a near-foreign nearly treasonous place.
California needs to be treated like Venezuela or Cuba or something and sanctioned.
I could be getting some details confused but I remember her saying weird shit like she had a dream where Charlie told her he loved her, and making it sound like it was romantic, right after the assassination. I also seem to remember her being a proponent of the theory that Erika Kirk and JD Vance were having an affair. In my opinion her statements regarding Erika and Charlie have come across as a jilted lover more than someone set on uncovering the truth about Charlie's death.
Newsom isn't even favored to be the nominee. I mean, theres a TON of water to go under the bridge, but Kamala has the experience and rough networks for a presidential campaign. Newsom comes with California baggage which is so heavy it makes the 2024 Biden fiasco look reasonable. By 2027, everyone will have forgotten about the Biden years and Kamala will embrace the drunk wine aunt image as being 'folksy'.
It would be easy for Kamala to throw Biden and Jill under the bus by next year, and, to her point, she wouldn't be wrong in doing so. The DNC will excuse it as being put into a tough spot and by then, will be so hungry for a win they will gladly bash Biden to defeat either Rubio or Vance.
Kamala Harris is in a difficult position. I read the DNC’s 2024 Campaign Autopsy, and while it was incomplete and somewhat self-serving, it contained some uncomfortable truths. If Harris wants to be a viable presidential nominee, she would need to move beyond her instinctive California-Democrat politics and reposition herself as a more Central Figure with stronger Populist Policies. I’m skeptical she can make that shift because those CA-Democrats instincts are deeply embedded in her political DNA.
The larger question for Democrats is whether they want Kamala, a Woman, or a Winner. That is not to say Kamala or a Woman cannot be a Winner. Rather, the party currently lacks a clear direction and does not appear to have a consensus on what it wants to be.
By contrast, the MAGA Republican Party enjoys an unusually high degree of loyalty among Republican Governors, House Representatives, and Senators. Much of that cohesion stems from Donald Trump’s years-long cultivation of power, influence, and party unity. The Democrats currently lack an Obama-like figure capable of unifying the party’s competing factions, and Kamala is not the next Obama.
The thing that's really bizarre about Kamala is that in a sane world, she'd never be anywhere near political power. She has shown repeatedly that she has no idea what she's doing, that she can't connect to the average citizens, that she's incapable of offering actual solutions. It's like she was made in a lab and deployed one day.
The fact that she was VP at all was the first indicator that the Biden admin was going to be a shit show because they plucked a woman who got demolished before the primaries even started to have the second highest political office and were probably planning on her replacing Biden outright until it became clear that she was a simpleton.

She also super pissed off the big money donors which how egregiously she wasted their money. So bad one of them is funding a spoiler off shoot party at least for 2026. I honestly think the party works rather deal with the fallout of opening assassinating her if she that tries to run in 2028 than have their megadonors close the purse strings on them.
I think the best outcome the Dems can hope for is Mark Kelly, though I really suspect their 2028 candidate will be no one that's currently the discussed. He's doesn't have the worst history of being super woke, he's a former astronaut, and he's from a key swing state assuming Maricopa doesn't get it's fraud nuked from orbit.
They just have to get over the Straight White Male hurdle for the most rabid of their party, which was a major hurdle that almost broke their coalition in 2020. Even the stank of Obama on Biden wasn't enough and he had to serve up a black(ish) woman VP to keep the progs on plantation.
Their odds of that are better than I was expecting. I thought there'd be way more fighting between the Progs and the Party Elite this primary, but the Dems seemed to have really beat them down, starting with breaking the media's fluff candidate is Jasmine Crockett.
The number of jews whinging about the peace deal is staggering. Have they not seen the left? It's now 99.5% death to Israel. Fucking Fuentes could be the republican nominee and they'd still be better off voting R. Nothing is ever enough for them.
