Paradox fans enraged about not having a communist Siam path.

If you have a friend who owns the DLC you can play all of them for free too.

And besides, the DLC are frequently put on 80% sale and, in a rarity for Paradox games, are usually actually worth buying for what they add.
The CKII strategy of just locking entire regions behind a paywall was 1000x better than their current DLC model of making that region barebones and the DLC having 1 major mechanic you need to play any country locked behind it.

You can. https://cs.rin.ru/forum/ contains everything you need including a patch for online play (never tested it myself). I kinda just use it to test DLCs before buying.
You can then buy the game subscription for 90% on sale (3 dollars) for 1 month to negatively rate all of the DLC on steam.

Nope, lol. There's an issue where the flags change position randomly but I found out you just need to add code to the bookmarks and it fixes it. Note the majors, they were randomizing position but I added the code and they were corrected.

Here's a dirty secret, if hoi4 adds a hardcoded gui element, you set its coordinates to 9999,9999. It will be so off screen, and no one will see it. I would rather not have it entirely, but if you don't add them the whole game crashes.

Another addition was the token file, I guess which PDX is using to stop out of sync erros on multi? How does that work? You add every single shared variable to a single file. For a mod like TNORA that's hundreds of variables!

And now it's fully corrected. KR must have simply decided to use the new vanilla country selection screen, or they just couldn't figure it out yet.

Edit 2: Aannnd suddenly the positions randomized again. Very strange.
How the fuck is there no save converter for CK3toEU5 or EU5toVic3 yet?
Because all those games stink! Someone make a Hoi4 to Hoi4 save converter. That's actually useful.

Fun fact. Victoria 2 had code for including pictures in some events but they decided to remove it by just not including any images and setting the co-ordinatines off screen. Modders discovered this and re-implemented them.

If we all put our backs into it, we can get it even further down to overwhelmingly negative. Threshold should be 15% if I'm remembering right.
They had a chance to release just the new commander unit stuff (or whatever the fuck it's called) for a $1 and I think everyone would have loved them for it. I'd have paid a dollar for that and they'd have made a shitload of money for zero effort.
Instead it's just greed and broken focus trees. I am so done with PDX at this point. $20 for unfinished focus trees that the community had already created is just insane.

I'm going through the recent DLC and these prices are abysmal.

Trial of Allegiance has a base price of $20, and is currently down to $8 on discount which is closer to what its base price should be.

Gotterdammerug has a base price of $34. Focus trees for a handful of Middle-Eastern nations? $20 base. New Asian DLC? $40. Considering I bought the entire damn game in 2016 for $60 I don't see how this is even remotely acceptable.
