When contracts are involved? Yeah, that's a likely outcome to something like this. Part of business is sometimes dealing with a shithead employee doing shit wrong and losing you money. A company I worked for didn't do their due diligence on an acquisition and ended up shackled with literally billions of dollars of debt and obligations, which ultimately caused it to be broken up and sold off brick by brick. That's the risk of doing business. BAM doesn't like it? They shouldn't do a hostile takeover their own franchise, and let the owner sell it on to some other retard to handle the situation.

What they should have done the moment some guy shows up with a contract, missing legos, and a valuation of $200k is either:
A. Bring in people to figure out what the fuck happened, where the inventory is, how much is the guy actually owed, and have your lawyers and his lawyers come to some kind of agreement.
B. Give him enough money to make him go away.

Most of the time, when you're as big as BAM, and the disputed amount isn't over a million dollars, Option B is more worthwhile than A, because the money you'll spend in manpower to figure out what the fuck is happening, time spent by lawyers, and a potential PR crisis is worth a shit ton more than just giving him enough money to make him happy and go away. But BAM didn't do either. They sat around like a bunch of chucklefucks for a year, thumbing their asses at Bryan, until some YouTuber started some shit. Then, they had the gall to say change their narrative and give him a massive lowball of a few thousand bucks. Now they're paying millions in PR crisis management, when he probably would have fucked off for $100k.

Like I said, BAM is also retarded in how they handled this. They should've handled it better.

But if you don't have clear cut documentation of what is owed to the person, and the person brokering the deal proved to be a shit business person who can't keep track what the fuck they've sold. Then I wouldn't be so quick to get my checkbook out.

Even when I watched the 1st Ben video I was suspicious of the owners. The coffeezilla video confirmed that. Especially when it comes to the layaway bullshit. Which She even admits she has to idea wtf actually happened.

Its been 7 days since I watched the 1st Reckless Ben video and it seems a lot of the story has changed or Ben was acting uniformed.

How did Ben not even know the proper value of what was taken? How did Ben not dig more into Crystal and find out about her self admitted bad bookkeeping?

Investigators actually have to compile evidence instead of just taking the word of the affected party.

Why was Coffeezilla given access to BAM files and interviews with everyone? Is because he went about it the right way? Instead of just going into a store and asking employees where the Legos are?

It'll be interesting to see how this all unfolds.

Do you really believe the Super McNeff Bros would have answered to Coffeezilla a month ago? No, they would have told him it's a franchise matter and not a corporate matter and send him right off. Now that their reputation is on fire they're taking any interview that could help them crawl out of their situation, unsuccessfuly.

All I needed to know was that her name was "Chrystal", she lived in Salem, and she had a store bird to know she was guilty of something. I decided to put that thought on hold out of an abundance of goodwill but I have once learned to always trust my instincts. I have jury duty in July.

There's also no chance Coffeezilla would have done his gay detective routine if someone else didn't set the groundwork first by stirring up shit. There's an eternal split between who think the system is broken for normal people and the lawyer types who are the system. It's easy for a lawyer to tell someone to hire a lawyer over 40k. It's somehow impossible for them to understand that 40k in legal fees is enough to destroy a normal person and make even if he does win. The only reason people going through the "right" channels now is because a looney toons shit stirrer did his job really well.

It's like that one guy whose house had a career squatter infesting it and police wouldn't remove her. But hiring an IP2 streamer as a roommate to terrorize her did something lawyers, police, and judges couldn't do in a multi-year court case. You have to have your head up your ass to think that paying a lawyer more than you'll ever win back is ever the "right" play just because it's the one the legal system prescribes.
 
I have some faith in crystal solely because she tried to help Brian. She didn't just stop responding to him, and tell him to go to corporate when her store was taken over. She gave him what she could, even though it had no benefit to her.

The Gormans, for whatever you might say about them, do at least seem like they're trying to make Bryan whole instead of evading the question and trying to pass the buck onto someone else. You could say Chrystal pointing the finger at BAM is passing the buck, but I think the absolute sideshow BAM has made of this is proof enough that they're up to something at the very least. At worst it seems the Gormans have only potentially done a fucky-wucky.
