This was his prime. The following trials I found other streams, but it was also mid lockdown for a lot of people.
This was his friends' prime. He just was along for the ride.

EDIT: Technically, Johnny Depp was Lawtube's prime, but Nick decided to create factions and backstab a bunch of people -- then Legal Bytes forgot she was on YouTube, not a stodgy news station, and the whole edifice collapsed.

Hairpiece? Absurd!
His hairline is holding as well as a Krieger trenchline that's run out of artillery rounds, is almost out of small arms ammo, and each platoon has a handful of grenades between them. But they've just mass stimmed themselves with their unit's entire supply of combat amphetamines and those orks out there really look like they'd enjoy a headlong bayonet charge from you and the boys (spoiler alert the orks love that shit).

He is terminally unfunny. The only thing funny about him is making fun of him.

The first time I saw him was during the Depp trial, and I did not like his vibe even then.

For those of you who actually liked or followed him when he was at his most popular, what was his funniest or most entertaining piece of content he made?
I stopped watching him before the Depp trial. At that point all Rekieta did was listening to music on headset and reading Locals chat. He didn't pay attention to what was happening in the court case and only chimed in if someone in Locals chat said something happened. He could have turned off YT chat and the show would not have been any different.
I can't say Rekieta was ever super entertaining or good. What he had was having a panel of lawyers that had something interesting to say. He was basically just the host and his guests did most of the work.
But unironically the thing Rekieta was good at was making toasts if someone requested one.

I mostly agree with you. But he can be funny all on his own as well, albeit unintentionally. His sperging at Keanu, with the loosely spread out whippets breaks so he could return even more red in the face and sounding like a furious fraggle, was some of the most cringe and pathetic shit I've seen on the internet, but god damn it was funny.

"WE WERE IN A VERY LOVING AND ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP!!!" or whatever the hell he was screeching. Still makes me chuckle.

The trials of Edgecomb and Curtis Reeves were for some reason really comfy and chill streams and Branca and Nick had good chemistry. The Edgecomb trial in particular was a joy to watch because the judge was pissed the entire time. Granted it would have been funny even without the two bozos but it was nice that they explained why he was mad at any given point.
Other than that I mostly watched when there was some other trial or when Null was on because his regular streams were boring as fuck. Also special shoutout to the Jack Murphy stream that is funny for a different reason these days.

The Chris Chan arrest stream with Null and Drex was tear-inducingly funny when it had no right to be, as was the Ralph post-shart fallout. Nick and Josh actually had fantastic chemistry once upon a time, and yes, he could be witty. Even when I was a fan, I knew that he’d be a shit comedian, but observational humor was more up his alley. One of the hardest times Nick made me laugh was during the Rittenhouse trial, and they were showing the autopsy photos of Huber, and he decided to break into Nickelback.

I wish I could go back and rewatch them. Those were genuinely funny streams at a time when laughter was at a premium in my life. Alas, Nick’s discovered the recipe for the perfect alog.

I had a fond memory of Nick vs Shane the Shoe Eater and his chair from back at the start of the Vic trial, I thought that was a funny period for Nick at least.
I went back to watch this a while back, but now knowing how that trial was doomed and knowing what we know about the real Nick it's really lost it's appeal. He's just a slimy prick.
Happy 11900 Nicker.

I started following him during the Vic Mignogna debacle. That was when he was really big into his wholesome Christian trad dad ruse. So he was likable and the Kick Vic crowd was made up of some of the most unlikable trainwrecks there were. Like the very serious lawyer who failed to crowdfund his own CPAP machine. Or the infamous Shane with his cutting board with a shoe on it. Or MarzGurl and her.... everything. So it was just watching a likable enough guy dunk on a bunch of wackos and retards.

Even then the cracks started showing pretty early on. Drexel always rubbed me the wrong way with how degenerate he was and then somehow his guests just got worse.

He was smart for The Sektur. He was smart enough to impress the misfit streamers who thought a JD in and of itself was impressive. People who don't realize that half of everyone with a law degree can't get a job in law.
Nick said that at his sentencing to the judge. I think all it shows is how dumb the people around him are.

Even inebriated Ralph can create bangers. When was the last time Nick said anything unironically funny?
Not only is Ralph infinitely funnier than Nick, but Ralph is also better at not violating restraining orders while streaming. At least, it feels like he is. Especially when one considers 1) how zooted Ralph gets on the air, and 2) the sheer volume of restraining orders that have been filed against him.

Right, he isn't sleeping with their wives, because they are old.
He is raping their daughters, because nubile teenager is his type.

(See how making "I will rape you!" jokes backfires Nick?)
He does routinely claim he's going to rape people. In fact, he caught a ban for threatening rape, yet again.

This dude, who claims he's a rapist, probably is one. I believe that is a reasonable inference to take considering that he routinely threatens to rape people. He views raping people as funny and weird, not as an actual crime.
At least he isn’t fat though, right?
No, he's also fat.
This is just part of the bigger picture with the ongoing three-way "war over hos" between Ralph, Mersh and Nick. Recent videos suggest the revival of the Nick-Mersh alliance now that Ralph and Nick have turned on each other. Florida Woman (Icedagger or whatever) is also in the ho side of the mix.
This shit is like watching feral cats fight. You kind of sort of wish you could stop them but you kind of are glad you really can't without risking infectious cat claws and bites.
Also I'm a little late to this but if your shitbox of a car has bad brakes either:
Fix them or kill yourself if you're driving your children around while whining about "driving muh KEEEEEDZ around" while being a direct threat to their lives through your utter incompetence.
His car doesn't have bad brakes. He was making an argument that his van takes longer to stop because its bigger and more heavy than a passenger car. And therefore that is why he hit the loader.
We all know the problem wasn't the brakes. It was the driver.

One guy I worked with who was a bit of a renaissance man of practical skills, so quite a capable mechanic, once told me something that stuck with me: "The only things on my car that I won't work on myself are the steering and brakes. Those are so critical I leave it to specialists."
I do my own brakes., and I'm mechanically retarded.

The difference is Ralph for all his mental malfunctions isn't actually a Psychopath. Nick is.

I largely stopped following his streams closely in late 2020. Which is when I began to realize something was seriously off about him. This is before he did Depp/Rittenhouse (which is generally considered his peak), so this may not precisely answer your specific question, but...

- The way he used to savage many of the people going after Vic could be pretty damn funny and satisfying at times. People like Marzgurl and Ron Toye.

- The Tonkasaw and Shane Holmberg "cross-examinations" were funny. More so the Shane one. Whereas the Tonkasaw had me, and a lot of other people (even Metokur), convinced he might just be a competent lawyer (obviously that was a mistake).

- The stream he did with Null, Emspex (former high level admin here), and Drexel was hilarious (and I don't even really like Drexel).

- I agree with those here who say the Greer stuff could be pretty damn funny too. Though it ain't really that difficult to poke fun at Greer.

I have to stress though that all of this was only funny at the time. I can't ever watch any of his old content anymore, knowing what I know now. It's aged like milk. Rife with hypocrisy (like what Mamma K pointed out the other day). I think he's done far worse things than most of the people he's gone after. It's also clear he was also putting up a false front the entire time.

In the end, I think Nick's initial popularity on the Farms can be attributed to stumbling upon the right issues, and saying the right things, at the right time, and managing to keep up that charade... until he couldn't. I feel @Himedall All-seeing Waifu adequately describes his rise and fall in the OP.
