Reckless Ben (Youtuber: Ben Schneider) vs Bricks and Minifigs and CEO Ammon McNeff - $200k in stolen LEGO - SWATTING by Mormon Police - Mexico arrest Avoidance - Major Lawsuits (Civil RICO)
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but there is a wikipedia article. Been around since late May. What I find interesting is that Bricks & Minifigs does not have a wiki page, yet Reckless Ben does.
that was originally a bricks and minifigs entry with a controversy section. but then bam turned out to be lolcows and now its a bam and reckless ben articles.
Is this the "official" thread for this happening? It's such a dramatic shitshow, I just have to see it through.
Originally I ignored it, because it seemed like something stupid and insignificant. Eventually, I gave one of the vids about it a shot while bored at work, and oh boy...
These guys have sure stepped on a LEGO. $200,000 worth of it.
I don't know how you can even assert that when this has been escalating nonstop for 2 weeks and caused BAM's official story to change multiple times after they refused to budge for 2 years.
The American Fork PD definitely could have handled this better. Same with the Oregon police. But they also arent technically wrong. Its not their job to intervene in a contract dispute.

It's also not their job to brainstorm with the claimant and his boss on speaker phone over which charges could possibly be leveraged to arrest Ben. The cops are literally on camera conspiring with Josh and Ammon on what types of charges could possibly be used to arrest Ben, then later the cops themselves do it again during the GFM arrest, AND THEN confessing on camera that the sole eyewitness that got them the search warrant is a personal friend of theirs.
Sorry, but there is no way you can slice this to make AFPD look good with everything we have now.

I feel like you're missing the forest for the trees here. Responsibility ultimately lies on BAM for mishandling the situation to this extent, they completely shut off Bryan instead of even attempting to sort out this situation. The extent to which they went makes one reasonably suspect that there's likely more to this situation and their motives.
It's already established beyond any reasonable doubt that there was a sizeable collection and they were aware of it. Why do you keep clinging to this insignificant shit?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the subject of the actual value of this collection is raised in a court case, wouldn't it require an independent 3rd party to appraise it? I don't see a single reason why I should trust BAM on this, none at all.
If Bryan has reasons to claim highest possible value of $200k, they have every reason to lower the estimate as much as possible and there's nothing stopping them from doing so. Considering we're talking about collector items here.
I didn't see this in the thread, but apparently, Chrystal, the previous franchise owner who took the consignment, is posting on RecklessBen subreddit extensively, such as detailing her experience with the company in her latest post there:
You can find more stuff in her post history if you just click on the name. Sorry if it was already posted and I missed it, I went through most of this thread in just few hours, earning myself a migraine with this autistic binge
"2026-03-09 - Christian goes to the house pretending to be a local mormon church member. Police trespass him. As he leaves, they observe him heading to the car with Tyler and Ben. They pull them over and search the car."
So Ben once again lied that it was just random mormon kid who agreed to serve the papers and also lied about the nose ring chick, who literally was in their house when they all got arrested. They are all his friends, orbiters and fans. It's a pretty stupid thing to lie about as well, retarded move.
Now this is actually interesting. So the heroin stop happened on the same evening as the mormon kid visit? There seems to be a gap in this report, because the mormon kid is not with them during the drug search.
The Mormon claims that he is from SLC, he lied to Josh about being part of their local chapter, but there's no proof he's one of ben's friends as far as I know. Do you have proof of that one?

You still keep on insisting there is a Mormon conspiracy behind this all and treating it as a fact when there is absolutely no evidence of any of it. You either never stepped outside and don't know how the world works or you're just too autistic to comprehend why the police would feel more sympathetic toward their own local resident and not some Californian zoomertubers who came to their county to do some retarded shit and harrass the resident regardless of the cause.
Mormon allegiance or not, there's enough evidence of misconduct regardless. Whether it's because of "small town closeness" or something else makes no damn difference.
Even if they had the best intentions. Which would make Josh and CEO even worse considering how much they abused this trust for their own gain.
I remember quite clearly how they said "We do things differently here" - but law is fucking law.
Is this good? In normal people land that would be seen as bad for them / good for everyone else, but in BAMland?
Corporate: "B&M did not steal grandpa's Lego. That is a local issue with the franchisee."
Franchisee: "We didn't steal grandpa's Lego, that was the previous ownership. And even if that were us, we aren't under contract, that was the previous previous ownership."
Sounds less meaningful when we know B&M use a change in ownership as a deflection tactic already.
Perhaps they did, but it's up to corporate to crucify them if that's the case. Now, corporate is even worse than them in terms of being greedy thieves and absolutely retarded, so it's probably for the best if we focus on the bigger fish first and once done we start punching downwards.
Yup, people are definitely focusing on the main attraction first.
If people were chasing every subplot, there'd be more milk on the AirBNB raid, like posts about reviewbombs going "hey don't stay here unless you like the idea of the owner spying on you and calling the cops to arrest you. The cleaning fee from being too arrested to properly check out was like a gazillion dollars".
Ammon McNeff forgot mention that Brandon Best was the Eugene store. THE SAME store the LEGOs were transferred to as INVENTORY after Salem/Keizer according to Ben.

You wouldn't even know it was his on Business Registry, because he had it scrubbed. But according to financial records it was failed to renew 8-14-2025.
But the place is still running according to Google. [Link][Archive]
Meanwhile, Chrystal's BAM franchise store (Thanks Stink) shows it went into dissolution 3-30-2025, 4 months after Corporate Takeover when she was removed 11-14-2024... Edit: Update. [Link][Archive][Link][Archive]
So let me get this straight, Brandon Best, owned the store, did not renew in August and the store operated illegally for 10 months till new filing yesterday!???
