Bing AI was genuinely fucking excellent stuff on launch. It was supplementary, not primary like Copilot is. Unfortunately, Satya Nadella just had to double, triple, quadruple, and quintuple down on shitty fucking business decisions and turn an excellent tool confined to Bing into a broader invasive ecosystem through Copilot... and he didn't even have the decency to revive the Cortana branding with the OpenAI partnership. NO ONE WANTS AGENTIC ANYTHING. WE JUST WANT TOOLS THAT WORK AND STAY OUTTA OUR WAY.
This. it's so fucking furstrating that not only is microsoft office an online only service, but anytime you go to office.com, it doesnt even show you word, powerpoint or excel. instead directing you immediately to tell copilot what you want to do so it can direct you. Have to go through sub menus to fucking find word.

You would think microsoft would want to remove the barriers to people using their products and not hide them behind a fucking AI

The state is still too leftist for mainstream Republicans to have much appeal there. However, there might be some other positive effects for Republicans. The largest city in Joe Kent's district is Vancouver Washington, which is largely a suburb of Portland. His distancing himself from Trump plays well there.
If you think Kent being too close to Trump was a problem then you probably think Massie has a shot at the presidency in 2028

Im so glad I use an old pirated version of it for my personal stuff. God bless the Russians. My work shit is fucked though.

The reason its being shoved by Microslop is because their jeet CEO sees dollars signs in AI and if he can reap datasets and show high usage rates, the stock price goes up. Copilot is just a jeet scam that no one wants and sadly we are held hostage. This is what happens when you sell out your company to Indians.

Minor league baseball and niche sports like indoor lacrosse seem to be the last bastions for working class people to see professional athletes.
Minor league is what I go to these days unless I get free tickets from the company. The beers and food are actually affordable and its less stressful. Corporate greed is insane with major leagues charging $25 for sysco slop.

While the food prices at pro games fucking suck, they'd hurt a lot less if the cost of tickets wasn't so astronomical. Even going to an MLB game is almost cost-prohibitive these days unless you want to sit in the nosebleeds. Minor league baseball and niche sports like indoor lacrosse seem to be the last bastions for working class people to see professional athletes. It's just incredible how COVID completely fucked the country's economic situation in so many different areas, all so globalist retards to get their precious Great Reset.

You just know they're hoovering up as much data as they think they can get away with

It's even bad at college games. $20 beers, $20 snacks, etc. I only go when I get free tickets. Otherwise, I'm just sitting in the sun for 3 hours for the privilege of spending $100 to be set decoration for a game I don't particularly care for.

The state is still too leftist for mainstream Republicans to have much appeal there. However, there might be some other positive effects for Republicans. The largest city in Joe Kent's district is Vancouver Washington, which is largely a suburb of Portland. His distancing himself from Trump plays well there and Washington's $2 billion a year Cap and Trade tax is major contributor to sky high electricity and gas prices (currently about $5.50 a gallon in Vancouver according to AAA). The backlash against climate insanity in Oregon could give Kent a winning issue that he lacked in his previous runs for congress.
Kent damaged his brand with Republicans too much when he flounced after Trump gave him a prime job and went off to grift a podcast or whatever; he's not viewed as a serious person anymore.

You're talking about him running for Federal HoR, right? Why would he run on state policy issues, and policies of a different state that he would be running in?

Yeah there's a difference between "distance from Trumpfler" and completely showing your ass the way Kent has. Dude trooned out hard.

Gold is way up, I am buying slightly less jewelry
I wish i was talking about jewelry, the shit she buys is way more worthless than that.

I'm still clinging to office 2013 "product activation failed" and i refuse to move further than that. How many more features could they possibly add to something that was basically perfected 20 years ago ffs.

I'm counting the days until windows no longer even runs it but even then i'll just use .txt files for everything before i use any cloudshit.

"Token" is just a generic term for "word". You're billed for the number of words that the AI model generates, including ones used in intermediate representations, not just those in the final answer. You're also billed for "input tokens", which are the words in your prompt and any uploaded files.
While this is probably the best non-technical way to think about it, I need to spergtastically technically correct it a bit, it's specifically "words that the LLM can process".
So usually with things like BPE you get (common) word-parts, e. g. if you input "cakes" it will get broken up into the tokens "cake", "s</w>". Uncommon "words" like "xkjqzwvf" though gets broken into the tokens "x", "k", "j", "q", etc. individually, since no parts are (common) in words.
A common rule of thumb is ~1 token per 3/4 of an English word, or ~750 words per 1000 tokens.

Like I posted on the other page this shit is retarded because removing human hunting is no different that removing an entire predator species from the environment, which inevitably hurts the ecosystem.

These dudes really think people only started hunting in the 1950s. Humans have been hunting on every continent since thousands of years before recorded history.
I don't think it's entirely that. I mean sure, there are some nut jobs that think that. Every political push needs it's sincere but jobs to hide behind.

I think its more a case of Anti 2A stuff that's just happening to get pushed long after it was relevant. I mean think about it, what was a big argument for the second amendment you would hear from Fudds and Boomers? "Guns aren't bad. You use them for self defense and hunting."

First off that's not why the 2A is there. Let's stop mincing words. It's so you can stack bodies when the feds decide you don't have rights. BUT, if you can't get rid of the 2A by scaring people, you can do it by making the stuff you think you can do with it illegal. Tons of laws about duty to retreat followed up by banning hunting.

Now, the problem is that They never had enough weirdo radicals and were always absurdly outnumbered by boomers that loved to hunt. As far as I can tell, seems millenials and gen Z don't hunt.

So now I think that they're doing it because they have the numbers and way less people are there to oppose it. Mind you, won't matter since they seem to be losing the gun control debate on nearly every front at this point.

But seriously, which makes more sense? Ban something we've been doing for centuries because the locals hippies bitched loud enough in an era where hatred of them is peaking? Or ban it so hurt gun owners?

Vancouver Washington can be considered a suburb of Portland and a lot of locals work in Portland and shop in Oregon to avoid Vancouver's 8.9% sales tax. Judging by local news coverage, the main issues in Kent's two congressional runs were building an expensive new bridge to Portland that Ken opposed and building an expensive new light rail link to Portland that Kent also opposed. He lost by 1% the first time and 3% in 2024, so little extra boost might be enough to win if he runs again.

Looks more like panic at this point. Microsoft has burned an enormous amount of capital on AI, and Nadella needs to start showing returns or lose his job. At this point, we're in a runaway cycle where investors, who do not have the faintest clue what deep learning means or what model weights are, are demanding that you tell them how you're "transforming your business for the AI era," or you don't get dollars.

In Microsoft's case, Satya also didn't understand AI, but he had a gut feeling it was going to be a big deal, and believed Sam Altman is a super-genius (he's actually just a Machiavellian homosexual) who was going to invent AGI, so he gave him all the money he wanted. Now investors want to see the payoff.

Am in Europe. Ground beef is about $8.15 per lb at my local supermarket. There is a beef shortage that has been going on since the middle of last year. This has increased the demand for chicken, leading to a chicken shortage also.
