I heard GrapheneOS won't be affected by this, so I plan to get a pixel once the restrictions fully roll out. Or the Motorola, if it is even released in time. Then you have the war on sideloading Google has been pushing.

It will not directly affect Graphene OS, but it would practically destroy the third-party app ecosystem as the people that design these apps probably will not even bother anymore if Google locks down Android, leading to few or no apps that you would be able to "sideload" as the number of people who know of and use Graphene OS is a tiny fraction of the Android userbase.I heard GrapheneOS won't be affected by this, so I plan to get a pixel once the restrictions fully roll out. All the more reason to switch now and disable automatic updates. It will not directly affect Graphene OS, but it would practically destroy the third-party app ecosystem as the people that design these apps probably will not even bother anymore if Google locks down Android, leading to few or no apps that you would be able to "sideload" as the number of people who know of and use Graphene OS is a tiny fraction of the Android userbase.
Also, in blocking sideloading, Google might also decide to lock down the bootloader of Pixel phones much like how Samsung does with its newer phones, making it impossible to flash custom OS like Graphene or Calyx on them anymore.
The fact that Motorola is developing a dedicated Graphene OS phone is great, but knowing how spiteful and petty Google is, Google might require that you install some sort of spyware/adware package from it on your Graphene phone in order to access certain common apps like a lot of banking apps.

why did you post some random ai jeet videoYes, Google is finding almost every nook and cranny to place advertising. Calling them greedy is too kind at this point.
Google crushed competing video sites by running Youtube at a loss for years. Now that their competition has been banished, Google is gouging the hell out of consumers. It’s almost as if Youtube is being run like a monopoly…

Yahoo! had one back in the '10s, but that "help" line disconnected after hours of being on hold. The website suggested "asking the community" -- posting on Yahoo! Answers -- as a "solution" to issues. But even that's better than no phone line, and probably some "AI" bot like Google probably does. Either way, it shouldn't be that way with the BS.I don't like how Google does NOT have a support number.

the article powiedział(a):Just go to Settings > System, then toggle the “On-device AI” setting to Off. When I did that on my Mac, the weights.bin file disappeared immediately.
lineage os + micro g.I want to avoid using Google Services completely, so I use lineage OS.
Does anyone know of a good way to patch android apks into not requiring google services? I've downloaded patches in the past, but they are all kinda shady and I would prefer to make them myself.
I am forever upset that "literally just installing an application" is now derogatorily labeled "Sideloading". As if you aren't supposed to be doing it.
The real irony is that every single google cancerware on an android device is itself adware or 'sideloaded', isn't installing through a playstore or other store "Sideloading?". If I install an APK is that 'Direct loading'?
Complete shit.
While that is good, I've downloaded apks that were patched to not even require MicroG, and they were also patched to remove DRM that MicroG is not compatible with. They were from sketchy places though, so I want to know how to do that myself.lineage os + micro g.
Look into making your own patches with Morphe. I fucked around creating some custom ones myself back when it was ReVanced, mostly just to remove ads and some basic telemetry from a few simple applications. While that is good, I've downloaded apks that were patched to not even require MicroG, and they were also patched to remove DRM that MicroG is not compatible with. I'm assuming that these patches were outsourced to be made en masse by some random jeet/russian for a couple of scheckels, so they can't be too hard to make, right?
