Appreciated but videos of things blowing up doesn't convince me it was done with a gravity bomb
Freeze frame, you dense motherfucker.
As I said before, the size of the munition at 0:29 is too small to be a JASSM, JSOW, Tomahawk, or SLAM-ER, and furthermore lacks the "wing" geometry you see with cruise missile/extended range glide weapons, much less a LUCAS drone.
Even if it's not a gravity bomb, it's a short-range missile (i.e. Maverick) or a JAGM which need to be roughly within visual range (even if albeit not directly LOS).
Either way, it's something that must be fired from short range.
And speaking of short-range weapons, I see you're also too lazy to look up the literal straffing runs F/A-18s and F-15Es were doing:
If americans could do that they wouldn't be burning through their jassm stockpile.
US and Israel have hit a combined total of well over 10,000-13,000 targets, >17,000 if you take the upper-end claims at face value.
The US had some 3,000 JASSMS/JASSM-ER's, and maybe twice that number Tomahawks. There's simply not enough cruise missiles in America's inventory to hit the sheer numbers of targets that have been hit.
Furthermore, given the guidance and flight time, cruise missiles aren't even optimal for hitting the kind of targets like mobile launchers which need quick-reaction short-range weapons.
Are we just blindly accepting everything the US govt says as fact now?
And the Iranian government claims to have captured an intact GBU-57 and other JDAM guide bombs.
The Iranians have, even inspite of all their propaganda, not even denied that America has been dropping gravity bombs, firing short-range stand-in missiles and doing literal gun runs on them.
I don't know who you're suddenly making obvious fact seem like some grand conspiracy.
we wouldn't have stopped and started begging for a deal instead.
If we were begging for a deal then we wouldn't be at an impasse.
America isn't agreeing to Iran's terms which is why no deal has been reached.
If we were "begging" for a deal we'd be more amenable to Iran's terms, not telling them to pound sand and hand over the HEU.
