EU Gonorrhoea and syphilis hit record levels in Europe

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including gonorrhoea and syphilis have hit record levels in Europe, according to new data.

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) said both diseases had reached their highest levels in over 10 years in 2024.

Gonorrhoea hit 106,331 cases - a 303% increase since 2015 - while syphilis more than doubled in the same period to 45,557.

The health agency said "widening gaps in testing and prevention" were partly behind the surge in transmission, and called for urgent action.

"These infections can cause severe complications, such as chronic pain and infertility and, in the case of syphilis, problems with the heart or nervous system," said Bruno Ciancio, the head of the agency's Directly Transmitted and Vaccine-Preventable Diseases unit.

He said congenital syphilis cases - "where infections pass directly to newborns, leading to potentially lifelong complications" - had nearly doubled from 2023 to 2024.

"Protecting your sexual health remains straightforward. Use condoms with new or multiple partners, and get tested if you have symptoms."

Spain had the highest number of confirmed gonorrhoea and syphilis cases of the participating European countries in 2024, at 37,169 and 11,556.

The ECDC said men who had sex with men remained the most disproportionately affected group, showing the steepest long-term rises in gonorrhoea and syphilis.

It also reported that heterosexual women of a reproductive age saw large increases in syphilis.

World-first gonorrhoea vaccine rollout begins in UK as infection rates soar

While chlamydia was still the most commonly reported bacterial infection overall, cases had fallen 6% since 2015 to 213,443.

The UK has not been part of the research since Brexit, but the government releases its own figures for England each year.

According to a UK Health Security Agency report published in December, there were 71,802 gonorrhoea cases in England in 2024, and 9,535 syphilis cases.

There were 168,889 chlamydia diagnoses during the same 12 months.

The UK rolled out a gonorrhoea vaccine in 2025 after it hit a record 85,000 cases in 2023.

Guess what else is at record levels in Europe?
The article indeed mentions "men who have sex with men" being the most affected. They won't even write "homosexual" anymore.
It's some retarded doublespeak they use in HIV+ circles, because they view being gay/bisexual as an identity and not as observable behavior. This logic also means men can be straight while sucking dick because they identify as straight. Whether this stupid idea came from gays fetishizing straight men or troons pushing for words that mean nothing, I am not sure.

I think it mostly came from those dudes who are obessed with dicks, but hate the notion of being perceived as gay/bi and therefore not "normal", and it is now being pushed by the "you can't question what anyone chooses to identify as" crowd, despite these men pretty much identifying as straight because they're homophobic. And, of course, these men are speading shit like HIV and syphilis to both genders, contributing to the very noticeable uptick of women getting them.

I've noticed that there are a lot of these men. They strontly crave (they never just seem to kind of want it, they feel strongly about it) sucking dick and taking it, but date women not only to be perceived as "normal', but because they want one around to do domestic wife things. Funny how I've heard many stories of them struggling to get hard with their wife/gf, but that magically isn't a factor if they do go fuck with men. They like to claim that women always give them a ton of 🥺 performance anxiety 🥺 that guys don't

These men claim that they're not into men (lying), just dick, thinking that's less gay somehow, when it's more like the oppsite. There are so many of these weird ass dudes. They're very sensitive, too. If you acknowledge that they're gay or bi, they throw a fit. Yet many of them feel entitled to having a wife/gf while also having hookups with men and say that they literally need the hookups.

So, instead of just not blabbing about their desires, they 've developed the nonsensical argument that they're actually straight but have a "penis fetish" And no, it wouldn't be straight, but it's funny how these men usually don't mess with troons at all, and usually only want very overtly masculine men that they claim to not be attracted to. 🤔 Makes sense. They also tend to almost never bother to do any sort of STD prevention at all. Long post but these retards are a total joke, so I like to laugh at them.

Tbf nobody my age wears condoms anymore. Two friends in college, the guy gave the girl gonorrhea twice and she still fucked him lol. Long-term birth control and ease of treatment of STDs has made us go insane.

Because of all the muzzies fucking around with eachother all the time, just like in their homecountries..... import the thirld world, get the third world...

Yep, because the only thing gays care about is HIV and even then, often times it's to intentionally GET HIV. It's crazy to me, like wanting to try heroin because you want to be addicted to it on purpose.

It's always browns. Even in America the prevalence of HIV/STI is multiple times higher in brown bughives. They rape and fornicate with no care or forethought and are too stupid to educate themselves or avail themselves of free prophylactics you can get literally at any health department.
