The best reason I've heard is that Thiel is supporting Clav as Thiel sees him as someone who embodies the ideas of transhumanism (something which Theil openly supports)

While it would be much funnier if Clav was actually 5'11, for the sake of truth I feel obliged to remind people. The 5'11 came from the arrest warrant, meaning prior to arrest. The sheriff app reported his height at 601 after the arrest. Does this mean he is actually 6'1? I don't know. If it is true that they allow people to wear shoes for this, which I would find very strange for them to do, then his height might be whatever under the sun. There's just no official figure. Under the resolution, we're told the case will come off his record in 6 months if he stays out of trouble, completes a firearm safety course and finishes 20 hours of community service.
