Imo, he MIGHT have shown some mercy if his kids weren't involved in Hasan's gay ops AND if they apologized early enough. The moment the Content Cop dropped, Ian was in the same shit list as Hasan and his orbiters were. I imagine he was no longer on the nice list when he remained silent on the CPS call but he was added in the naughty list with the CC.

H3 just announced they are suing Ian for defamation, and he only apologised because they sent him a cease and desist. In Canada it's a lot easier apparently. Also Ian can't crowd source funds for it because in Canada you need the info of every donor to crowd fund court costs.

I think the argument is that the slander caused their family harm. Them basically sabotaging the Creator Clash by causing infighting amongst the creators can also be a cause. I assume that Ethan had quite the stake in that considering his employees were part of it and he was giving donations.

When's the last time Ian got a win? Seriously. I think it's been literally years. Ever since CC2 failed to make any money it's just been failure after failure after failure. I think I would be close to blowing my brains out if I was living his life.
