He is playing a numbers game. He knows that a significant portion of people are low information/low-effort. If it can't be easily found e.g. via a basic search on Google/YouTube they won't bother looking into it further. Alt-Censored/Preserve Tube/Finding an archive/KiwiFarms is much higher effort. It also makes it more difficult for the detractors for the same reason.
