Trump doesn't understand Iranian izzat.

Yeah yeah, I know unnamed official is synonymous with "I made it up" but in this case they have a point.

We're in this stalemate with both sides being incredibly stubborn. Trump has the ability to pummel Iran into submission and ignore this izzat to the tune of the entire USAF, but for whatever reason, either hes too chickenshit or too bullheaded to realize that a deal isn't possible while the IRGC still exists. Maybe bullying Trump, laughing at him on X and media dooming will get him to change his tune, but again, the only way out of this is more intense strikes. Thats the only way Trump gets his decisive victory.

Its looking like he won't follow through. When Iran can still fire drones and harm cargo ships, it looks like Trump is weak. Thats not the case, but thats what it looks like. You can't count on the water crisis to save you. Meanwhile, if so much as a rocket crosses into Israeli airspace, they chimpout and start leveling towns again. It's one of Trump's boomerisms. He is absolutely terrified of nukes to an almost autistic degree, which is a good thing when dealing with Iran since they'd immediately use one if they could, but it also means he's very wary of escalation loops. He's fine blowing up military assets, but he seems jumpy at the thought of any American lives being put at real risk.
I'm kinda surprised he didn't react more to Iran getting lucky the first day with that drone attack in Kuwait.
