We’re seeing the first tremors of a similar earthquake now in Asia. More than 80% of the oil and gas that passes through the Strait of Hormuz heads east. Like Europe, most of the region is fundamentally short of petroleum, and getting more so with each passing year. Japan and South Korea have long been among the most import-dependent countries on the planet for their energy supplies, but the whole region is heading in the same direction.
Vietnam became a net importer of energy over the past decade and even petroleum-rich Malaysia is now a net fuel importer. Indonesia still subsidizes fuel like the OPEC member it was for decades, but it’s been reliant on imports for more than 20 years. Domestic gas fields that sustained growth in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Thailand in previous decades are now giving out, leaving the countries at the mercy of costly, faltering liquefied natural gas imports.
The article is worth a read, but I don't want to quote too much. They go though dozens of different examples.
Battery-only models have already reached around 50% market penetration in recent months in Singapore and Thailand and about a third in China, Indonesia, South Korea and Vietnam. Even before the war, billions of drivers in Asia were looking for an alternative to the cost and pollution of petrol power and in numerous markets electric models were already as cheap as conventional vehicles.

In the Philippines, imports of solar panels from China during March alone were sufficient to increase total solar capacity by half, relative to levels at the end of 2025. In Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan, trade was sufficient to boost installations by a quarter or more. One Manila-based solar installer told local news site Rappler that they were signing as much as 10 times more contracts per month than they were before the war.
The move to alternatives is accelerating.

Iranian Air Defense systems are operating over the city of Marivan, Kurdistan Province of Iran. Cool your jets, it's either a weapons test or some 2ndLt got scared.

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on whether Iran has kamikaze dolphins in the Strait of Hormuz:
"I can't confirm or deny whether we have Kamikaze Dolphins.

But I can confirm [Iran doesn't]."

Iran's joint military command is now claiming the attacks on the UAE were false flags.

They still think the NYT, ABC, WaPost, Politico and other mainstream outlets carry weight with the American public. So, when all the doomers from Washington Post or NYT write that the walls are closing in on Drumpf, they believe it not realizing that not even Americans give a shit as to what these rags print
That's a very interesting point I hadn't realized, it's blatantly obvious to everyone here that nobody cares about the MSM anymore but i guess it's not fully public knowledge. I wonder if that's also why a lot of europeans genuinely think we're on the brink of a revolution against a fascist dictatorship. The msm sure wants it to seem that way.

I remember there were reports of confusion within china's leadership because the CCP's strategy since like 2016 was to let civil unrest destroy us all and they figured it would happen any day now. If in china the news was calling for the death of the leader, and people were talking about killing each other on social media they know their civilization would fall apart in a matter of months because it's rigid. US culture is designed to bend and adjust to bullshit in a way I guess they can't comprehend. Half of the country seething about the president is tuesday here.

Could you ever not make the USAF horribly OP, though?
I thought an interesting realism-adjacent way to balance it would be to make the GLA holes immune to air strikes. So you air can take the building out of whack for a few minutes but never destroy it completely. I also thought giving each faction a sort of "morale bar", like public support for US, Morale for china and Izzat for gla, would be interesting. If USA does too many air strikes you lose public support because innocent heckin civilians are dying, meanwhile GLA gets a huge morale boost if they take down a tank. I honestly have so many ideas for this game but we'll never see them.

As to why it happened in this game: it's the classic RTS problem of devs underestimating players. They assumed USAF's weakness would the player not being able to micro every single raptor but the devs underestimated the sheer level of autism millennials were going to bring to the fray. I also think they didn't really consider how the XP system punishes bad cost-trades even more than normal RTS games, which is why USA's high cost survivable units tend to snowball out of control.

Is there anything the US has offered or could offer Iran as consolation for giving up their nuke and strait ambitions? Something they and Third Worldists/#FreePalestoids can hold up as a crushing victory over Zionism and The Great Satan?

When Trump killed Soleimani in 2020, Iran flung some missiles back at us. They didn't even kill anyone but we called it even and hostilities died down. If we don't throw them a bone they'll just keep chimping to save their pride.

Not letting a bunch of zoomies play Find The Leader(s) with drones and JDAMs? That's a fairly generous prize.

I still haven't learned why we would have started the war in the first place if climate change and water scarcity was going to bring the Iranian nation down very soon (this very summer as you predict)
Look at North Korea. 20% of their population died of starvation in mid 1990s, they were 100% dependent on food aid (what a faggotry), yet, at the same time, they were developing nukes.

Water scarcity is never a problem when your population is dead or a niggercattle and your leaders are a bunch of fanatic death cultists.

1) Why would we want to do that?
2) Not really. Having a nuke has been their goal since the Revolution. They want to destroy Israel, kick off World War III, and bring about the Twelfth Imam.

A nuke is the only weapon powerful enough to potentially make that dream a reality, so there's nothing we can offer them that will be satisfactory.

Not really because in their primitive dysgenic minds even offering a fair or beneficial inducement is a sign of weakness and therefore a signal to double down and reap the rightful victory granted by allah.

Obama let them publicly buck break him and all they got from that was that if he was willing to humiliate himself that badly they must be really strong and certainly have no reason to even honor the agreements they made let alone give up anything in return.

They only understand the lash. Which is why they didn't do anything when salami got acked. They figured if Trump was that bold he must be secure in his position. Like many animals they get more aggressive when they smell weakness.

You've asked this exact question in the thread previously and got answers, Repeatedly asking the same shit disingenuously just makes you an insufferable faggot.
You're the only person I know who has this very specific belief, I don't even hear anything like this from the Trump administration
He's not even the only person on this website you've engaged with who has this specific belief. And do you really need to have it explained to you why the Trump administration isn't yelling from the rooftops "we're hastening Iran toward a humanitarian disaster with food and water shortages", you're right, they stick to economic messaging, because that plays better on the world stage.

At some point continuing to ask these kinds of intentionally stupid questions like this you just make yourself repetitively look like a turbo-retard

The SEA people as a whole are too poor to go buy brand new Chinesium EVs with ~100km of range.

Or Chinese electric scooters and the like.

Also, Indonesia and Malaysia are comically corrupt and basically refuse to really work hard and develop new Oil and Gas fields or do fracking to get the older wells production up.

Guess stealing all the investment money is paying off now eh?

This is your brain on Islam.

How many AK-47s are in the durka-durka jihadi part of Asia and these dysgenic, inbred, religious fanatics can’t figure which end of the bullets in the bullet holding stick go into the chamber?

When Iran sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing camel fuckers. They’re bringing inbreds. They’re retarded . And some, I assume, are good people.
