I think the biggest overarching theme of this thread over the past two years is realizing: yes. He was ALWAYS retarded.
The only thing that changed was his social circles, from other awkward nerds that could relate to him, to non-retarded entertaining shitposters like h3 and the Australians, to Anisa and a squabble of unemployed BPD Hasan fans.
He probably also developed a classic case of unwarranted e-celeb ego on the way.
Accordingly, just dropping out of the Youtube game was never an option. He is THE iDubbbz, and is therefore entitled to millions of adoring fans whatever he does.

He saw that it was popular and did what he does best, jumped onto the trend way too late.
Ian doesnt know how to play the game in any aspect. All he did was grind on underleveled mobs by himself, meaning he failed to do any multiplayet content in an MMO. He also knew jackshit about the lore, he was photos of sylvanas and tyrande and had no clue who they were.
It's kind of funny since Chad is the most autistic warcraft fan around so seeing Ian try to larp as a fan must drive him nuts.
