I was raised both Baptist and Methodist, so yeah, I'm a protestant heathen. Yes, I'm well aware of the fact that Baptists are more likely to be Democrat than Republican, I just tend to not announce my power level whenever it comes up. I stay to myself, I stay silent. Operation: "Let them speak" is in full effect from me.

I think even journalists get nigger fatigue because they have to report it, “if it bleeds it leads” but it’s always the same story. It makes their jobs so dull.

If you attend a church that focuses on politics. You're in an activist church, not a faith-based church. And I would get as far away from that kind of church where they focus on modern politics rather than providing faith-based direction to navigate life.

I stay out of respect of my neighbor, because she brought me and the sad thing is, she actually knows my political leanings. If the US reverts to selection of senators by the state (either elected by legislature or appointed by governor) this isn't the worst idea. Diluting the influence of individual politicians and confining them to smaller geographical areas, especially with the House, could correct a lot of problems. Imagine if your representative was actually from your community and had to face his neighbors regularly. I don't really see a comparable reason to increase the number of senators, who ideally would represent the interests of the state government, rather than just being a representative but bigger.

It's all just trading one set of problems for another. Not a terrible impulse though, since every system eventually gets gamed. So the older it is the more game and less real it is. Change can disrupt this, but it's just a delaying action.

It's like with Jeets. Jeets are pig-brained. You can't train a pig to work in exchange for a reward because it doesn't associate the reward with the work. It just knows that it got the reward and wants more. So it figures out what the conditions were to get the reward and just tries to replicate those conditions.

For example you can train a dog to push a ball through a maze to get a reward. A pig will just pick the ball up in its mouth and carry it to the end of the maze, knowing that the reward comes when the ball goes through the exit gate. So like a pig, a Jeet thinks his job is to cash a check. All that work whose purpose is to maintain civilization is just a bunch of trash getting in the way of his real job, carrying a check to the bank and depositing it.

They aren't the only ones like that, by any means, and it's going to be a problem everywhere. So in congress, there's a bunch of people who have "figured out" that their job is to enrich themselves off of selling access and information. Just adding more people into the mix may dilute the power of each individual "seller" but it won't change the pig's job.
