See I'm a fuckin sperg and probably undiagnosed autistic so I used to hang out primarily with the weaboos. And not at high school, no. I'm like 32 and have been going to anime bars and met people of all ages, even older than me, who watch anime, play video games including JRPGs, go to conventions, and cosplay. Conventions slap btw. It's wild parties in hotel rooms with cosplayers, drinking and discussing nerdy interests lol.

Okay, but do you have any funny/crazy/cringe stories about these weebs? Had no idea anime bars even existed here in the West.

I mean there is Legend, who drank a full handle of vodka and lived to tell of it. He has the worst puking episode and hangover afterwards, but he is still Legend. Probably not what you were looking for.

There was this one guy who never went to the gym but he got respect from a lot of the weabs at the anime bar because he was loud and angry, so people just nodded to get him to shut up. One time he said he beat up a marine and I was like dude no you didn't and he got pissed. Then I asked him how much he can lift and he said "I don't need to go to the gym! I'm from LA!"

I remember I went one time I went there and there was this gay dude started trying to get me to go into gay porn. He was really thin and flamboyant, I think he was also homeless and on drugs. I moved away from him and went to where my friends were, and I continued drinking. Eventually, as the story has it, I was drunk and stumbling at the end of the night, and that gay guy showed up again and kept asking if he could come over to my place. Eventually one of my friends said "we gotta go" and gave my drunk ass a ride back home.

There was a shooting at the anime bar back in 2023. One guy was starting shit with people, then another guy he knew was trying to get him to cut it out. The first guy shot someone he got into an argument with, and then the other guy shot him, to prevent him from shooting anyone else. I remember on my way home one night from work that parking lot was full of cop cars. I didn't know anything about what happened until months later when I went there and spoke to the bartenders.

Thats all I can think of ATM. I only ever became a regular there because I got high on shrooms and lost my favorite leather jacket there.
