Common sense dictates you shouldn't prescribe opiates for "back pain" without conducting any tests to determine the cause of that pain. Pain is a signal to let us know something is wrong. A doctor should never prescribe a medication that cancels that signal without doing anything to address the underlying reason for it. There were no X-rays, no MRIs, nothing to determine any injury, no treatment protocol such as physical therapy or surgery.

I imagine Melton's first wake-up call is when he runs out of those pills. Because I don't see Doctor Steve writing him another script and he is going to have a really tough time getting any normal doctor to renew his pills. He is about to be in a whole world of hurt that he doesn't understand yet.

I am thankful for Scarlett and Ralph getting together. The two of them are a wonderful mess together. The Ralphamale is living exactly the kind of life that Nick wished he could live: coke, booze, sex with pornstar, neglect his kids, gets away from legal trouble without any long-lasting consequences. Ralph accomplishes all these things on a shoestring budget (and now even sponsored by his sweetheart) and no law degree like a boss.

Nick, on the other hand, has a fortune and has to sit home sober like a good boy or he gets more community work. The edgiest things he's allowed to do is reminisce about Aaron's dick and comment on a more successful lawyer's cooking.

Edit: I forgot to add - Nick spends months simping, spending money and begging for pussy on a regularly basis. All the Ralphamale has to do to conquer the very same woman that Nick lusts after is ask "are you my girlfriend, mommy?" and he has her heart.
