I don't think he's that kind of delusional. In his book he makes up totally insane stories like you describe, but in his lawsuits his lies seem different. The "harassment" that Greer has been accusing Kiwi Farms, a website et al. of in this case includes those emails, which are probably fake but aren't the product of hallucinations, and Hardin's fairly normal investigations which Greer interprets as stalking. Unless I'm forgetting something, I don't think that Greer has accused anyone of things that didn't happen but would be crimes, like firebombing. Instead, he claims that totally legal behavior was actually illegal for whatever reason.

He's an absolute lunatic, but I don't think that he has literal hallucinations.

I've spoken about Greer with an IRL friend of mine, and while people in the various Greer threads suggest (with a reasonable amount of deserved certainty) he's narcissistic, I think he's actually legitimately schizophrenic.

It doesn't make it right, and it justifies none of his victimization of others, but it'd be interesting if it could contribute to a vexatious litigant designation.

Have you ever read anything written by an unmediated schizophrenic? They don’t just have hallucinations, the disease also affects their ability to put words together. Russ is a terrible writer, but his sentences aren’t as disjointed as you’d expect someone in psychosis to be.

I also suspect that his parents would have tried to get him a guardianship after his little “prank” if he’d been diagnosed with something that severe, as well as a tugboat.

However, some personality disorders do have some psychosis and hallucinations.

Russ has all three of these delusions, and I suspect the hallucinations in his book are a “verbal” description of the last one.
