Today a coworker was talking to me about Cuba, and he implied that Trump is going to take over/attack Cuba. I asked him "Why does Trump need to do ANYTHING with Cuba?" I could see a "transfer of power watchdog" sort of situation like we are doing in Venezuela, but we aren't taking over Cuba, we don't want Cuba, and it's time for the Cuban people to run their own shit properly.

There actually is a shockingly good reason why Trump or other US administration's might in fact want Cuba. Sea Control and resource rights. Unlike Venezuela or Iran owning Cuba would rather effectively expand the US territorial waters and areas of exclusive economic interest and control. (For those of you not realizing it, that's what Trump's Greenland obsession is all about.)
