I had no clue he had a thread here. I never searched since I wouldn't expect what I assumed was an obscure indie wrestler. I only saw him cause I browse SquaredCircle constantly. I haven't visited the thread here yet but I will. I heard people in the reddit thread shitting on him but trying to do it in a way that wouldn't be overly mean since he's a "protected class" with the progressives.

To lead you all with a strong start: after relentless pressure from users to step down, CedarWolf has resigned as head mod of r/MTF. The presumable heir apparent of the sub is a user named Headhaunter79 who was added to the roster shortly before CW's announcement, though drewiepoodle remains on the team (despite requests for his own resignation). As of writing, CW is still listed as the head moderator and there's a strong likelihood that he'll simply switch to an alt account and continue ruling over his cummy little constituents, but here's the masturbatory misery he posted to pander to the people. We removed that person as a mod when we were first sent those reports, and they never came back as a mod. That was six months ago.
I've spent 14 years of my life defending this space and these communities through hate, bigotry, and crisis after crisis.
I'm good at focusing on external threats, but I never thought people within the community could be bad, too. It was a blind spot I didn't know I had. I misread the situation at first, and that screenshot of my initial confusion was used to paint me as someone I'm not.
I'm not defending child abusers, and I said so verbatim in our mod discussions. Once we knew what had happened, they also left the mod chat and deleted their account; we didn't have any further communication with them.
That's why we have a mod team, so each of us can catch what others miss. Each of us are human, and sometimes we're tired or worn or we're misinformed or we can be fooled. But we have a team to catch us when we fall short.
I can't mod this space anymore. I've been stretched thin for a long time. I'm always eager to help people, but my will to do so exceeds my capacity. I help people; it's what I do.
The least I can do right now is try to transition to some people who will be able to handle it. I sent the first invite out an hour ago, and I'm going to do what I can to help ease the transition.
We need to find people who are good with communicating, people who have good reputation within the community, people who are willing to help, and people who can bear the weight when hate brigades and crises light our spaces on fire. A head mod has to be able to manage people, navigate differing opinions and expectations, how to set policies and communicate them well, all while being under fire from both the people we protect and the people who would seek our ruin.
Please be gentle with them. This isn't easy for anyone.

But even with this victory there remains the uncomfortable problem that CW holds a vise grip over numerous other subs, many of which attract underage visitors. In a list that has been shared across multiple subs, here's a sampling of spaces in which CW holds the crown - and if you care to feel a chill down your spine, then take a very, very good look at some of these names and consider what a man like CW has access to...

In fact, even pooners were finally weighing in on the situation, though the post was deleted quickly after by the user that made it, and nobody really said much beyond "Adurr, this obviously won't happen to us cuz we're more careful, ahyuk!" as if they don't have constant discussions about how much they want to sexually degrade men - and jars of peanut butter - for their own amusement.
But for now, the dust has settled, and it seems many a TiM shall rest easier now that CW has been ousted (with reassurance from new mod Headhaunter79 that bans will be lifted and peace restored); however, justice and apologies remain little more than pipe dreams for users like crystall-lake, who had been subjected to persistent censorship when trying to keep East's original post alive to the point of fearing the loss of their account. At least they've managed to keep their account intact, but I'm sure the whole affair has left a rather bitter taste in their mouth.
We'll see what becomes of r/MTF, but in the mean time, users continue to set up shop in alternative locations, of which I shall provide a directory so that others who love to hunt Reddit may find morsels of their own to share.
EDIT: Just when I thought I was done covering this stupidity, it seems two new mods - both with suspiciously young Reddit profiles and low karma counts - have been appointed to help operate r/MTF by the names of PrincessAloy and ms_keira, which already has users assuming they may be covert sockpuppets.
So if you really think about it, this was probably all a giant sissy slapfight over trannies fighting about whether or not it's OK to groom children. Why must it always come back to pedophilia? And to support one oppressed group (trans people) while actively supporting and following a religion that oppresses another group of people (women) is so hypocritical. Not to mention that women (both trans and cis) have done SO MUCH for the queer community. We would be nowhere without them, and we will never progress without them. I just cannot understand how you can follow something so disgustingly misogynistic and yet claim to be an ally. You're not an ally. You're a disgrace. You're a hypocrite. Women have done more than you could ever imagine for queer people, and here you are, actively following a religion that treats women as sub human. Allows the beatings of women. Where the ideal prophet who's supposed to be a perfect role model married a literal child. This religion has singlehandedly ruins thousands, if not millions of women and queer people's lives, including mine, and you support it? You're not an ally of anything but pure hypocrisy. You're following a religion that hates one innocent group, and yet you claim to support the rights of another. Islam does not exist without misogyny. And misogyny does not exist without transphobia.

Edit: oh yeah that reminds me, February 10th of this year I made a post about the Gender Wiki and at the time it was at 8277 genders. I checked today and its now up to 8361. Between those two dates, that's an average of 2.33 new genders a day...
