what the fuck is left to hit? we destroyed all the military sites, we blew up the military part of the palace, there have been over 3000 strikes across iran, and now we have taken steps to put kharg in our complete control. what the fuck else would even be a valid military target at this point? israel would never strike the safety deposit box vaults they're hiding in, too much money at stake, and we're not actually interested in bombing the civilian infrastructure, unlike how much the iranians desperately wish we were.
anyone with a brain, china is not going to sit and lose oil because some muzzies aren't playing nice globally. it's why china straight up told iran early on they would not be sending anything more than condolences, this was not actually in iran's best interest to do, despite what doomers will tell you.

To add on, when we did try to meat grinder our troops (Vietnam) we lost.
Thats not to say the meat grinder never works, it’s just really really costly. And occupation/rebuilding acquired territory costs even more.

It was rumored a few days ago that Iran ended up hitting a Chinese tanker, but I never got confirmation on if that was true or not.
However, it was definitely true that China publicly told Iran to knock it off. They don't seem satisfied with Iran just letting their tankers through.
They know that closing the Strait is bad for business in general since it spikes the price of oil worldwide, regardless of how much they're getting.
Iran may end up being so retarded that China has to side with Trump just to make them stop.

i will accuse the bug men of a lot of things, but patience with their retarded allies of convenience, who are literally part of a group they attempted to genocide for their hair (and to ensure ethnic han domination) is not one of them. china is gearing up to fight us, the last things they want are us to be ready to fight another war, and for the rest of the world to already be ready to jump down another country's throat for pulling iran shit.
not to mention they do not like the bad publicity this brings them, because it's very clear they're an iranian ally so when iran chimps, it reflects on china's inability to keep their vassal states from chimping.
i don't think there's even any necessity for it, but it's nice to not have to pay for it if we can help it. china may not send a warship or whatever, but i don't actually care about that. what china is 100% doing quietly in the background is threatening iran in every single way possible because if they don't get this shit under control, they will LOSE iran. it is not a benefit for them to have this war raging BEFORE they're ready to invade taiwan, so our refusal to wait any longer kind of put them in a bad situation.
do i think china is about to prepare for a boots on the ground deployment? absolutely not. are they going to be doing backchannel negotiations to try and get iran to stop this shit, including having other proxies asking them to stop publicly murdering a bunch of surrounding countries' civilians? yes. no doubt.

Vietnam wasnt really a "meat grinder" though. Lots of anti war propaganda makes it out to be, but in its context and time US casualties were pretty tame all things considered. Its just that since Vietnam we've gotten even better and more technologically sophisticated. Both in our ability to blow up the enemy from a distance and to evacuate/treat wounded.
For context, the three days of the Battle of Gettysburg killed a similar number of Americans as the entire Vietnam War.

I am taking the hopium tack with Pahlavi, but I am very mindful that unless he does a successful rain dance upon taking power all the issues re: water adn the capital sinking won't get magically fixed.Newest message from Pahlavi: he claims to already be assembling a team for the transitional post-mullah government, critically including people who have defected inside the country as well as diaspora Iranians on the outside. China doesn't just use the oil for energy; they also use it for a lot of their manufacturing.
That said, if they intervene in the Iran situation, it's more likely that the reason is because Iranians are fucking up their shipping lane through the Strait of Hormuz.
I don't think they'll actually get involved. If they do, it means that this bullshit has actually caused some real issues internally.
