Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

Before, civilian casualties were an accepted phenomenon that came with the territory. "Oh well, sorry for bombing your house, lad! I was aiming for that factory 600 meters to the north! Cheers mate!" Now it's almost guaranteed to be intentional.
I also mean the sheer volume of targets that can be reliably eliminated in the first strike.

Comparing this to WWII is a bit poor, because it's not like Hitler, Himmler, Heydriech and Goering plus 2/3rds of German high command got off'ed in the first night, with the Kriegsmarine reduced to a smouldering wreck within 48 hours and the Luftwaffen reduced to a handful of aircraft that can't even get a sortee off before getting shot down within 72 hours.

Iran shooting cluster munitions at Israel is retarded

>Have a population that is trained to go into bomb shelters
>Disperse bombs that are too weak to do any damage to bomb shelters

Genius
To be fair hypothetically they can hit vehicles in motor pools and possibly impair air operations temporarily if they jam up an airfield

I discussed this with friends, including one with family in the region, and we think there isn’t any strategy to this aside from Iran trying to portray strength and attempt an illusion of invincibility.

I also hope the Blue Jays move stateside or are just outright dissolved. Their fans are worse than Philly Philth.

Baseball is America's game, and hockey has been confiscated from the Leafs. PPP and Warski can lick my star-spangled nutsack and suck my circumcised bell-end.
LIMEY DETECTED--DROP YOUR CHIP BUTTY AND PUT YOUR BLOODY BRASS BANDS IN THE AIR, GUV'NOR!

Iran is insane, has been insane for every single day of its current regime, and has been fucking with us for literally decades.

Seriously, I don't know what his dislikes were, at least in his personal life, but apparently the contents of his hard drive were declassified.

A lot of obscure 90s internet porn, video games, anime, news clippings and documentaries about himself and 9/11, and a surprising amount of memes and joke pictures.

I'm not saying he was the only user, it seems like it was a shared setup. Still an interesting insight as to what members of the household were into.

Granted there were of course files on there that are still classified and related to ongoing cases, the shocking thing is how normal a lot of the contents really were. Imagining OBL playing Counter-Strike is a funny image to me.
I remember reading that his favorite band was the B-52s which is funny both because the B-52 is the ultimate symbol of American imperialism and because Fred Schneider is super gay.

A question for some of the military spergs here. What realistic strategic and tactical options were available to the Iranian military, faced with their overwhelming quantitative and qualitative inferiority, and the unpopularity of the regime? If any of you had been commander-in-chief of Iran, and had not been killed by either the US or Israel, and you couldn't surrender or defect, and your task was to do the best you could to "win" the war, however you define it, what would you have done? I'm asking in part because I'm not really seeing a lot of options, and I'm also not seeing that the options the Iranians are choosing are particularly helpful to whatever their endgame is. Attacking Azerbaijan? How does that help? Is their strategy just to take out as many of their enemy as they can on the way down? Or do they have something better in mind?

The biggest thing the Shah can do is bring stability and order especially during transition periods. While I doubt we will return to the authoritarian rule of his father, he does represent "a connection to the true iran (aka before the revolution)", so if his actions provide a guiding hand that allows for a true democracy to sprout then he has done he job. TBH I think he should be given a position like the King of England or the Japanese emperor, a figurehead which represents and guides the "spirit of the nation". It might be a tax sink, but Budgeted properly he could help reestablish the iranian identity separate from islam.

The IRGC artists should get a raise. They make some slick, aesthetically pleasing propaganda.

Oh for FUcks sake:

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi said Thursday his country was in an economic “state of near-emergency” as a result of the Middle East war, warning of runaway inflation. The Arab world’s most populous nation, and Israel’s southern neighbor, has not been physically impacted by the US and Israeli war with Iran, which has seen strikes on Egypt’s wealthy Gulf allies and paralyzed trade through the vital Strait of Hormuz. But by the close of business Thursday, the Egyptian pound had fallen to an eight-month low against the US dollar, trading at 50.2 to the dollar amid reports of short-term investment outflows. Egypt’s import-dependent economy has proven highly sensitive to fluctuations in the currency, which has lost two-thirds of its value since 2022.
