Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

There is good reasons nobody does this. The implicit threat is that if you try chemical warfare etc. on a real country you get real "economic warfare" which is all your ports and co. exploding followed by 50 years of geopolitical debt slavery.
It's also why the USA no longer actually declares war, because if we did, we would have to mobilize the entire economy ala WW2

Eh, not really. The US Navy will start escorting tankers.
It's a rerun of the Red Sea situation from a few years back, you'd need very high risk premiums and combined with reduced volume, prices for LNG are going to settle incredibly high. Not to mention the actual operation costs of escorts. The Americans obviously don't care as much for the energy disruption, but their allies in Europe and Asia do.

but the difference is that we have Trump in power who will throw "murican weight" around.

Also, besides pizza, what is the best/coziest food to "monitor the situation" with?

Hegseth did say in the recent press conference I've seen that they're going to deploy 500/1000/2000-pound bombs now that they have virtually unlimited amount of, with much more shit yet to bomb (somehow there's always more shit to blow up, incredible)

That's the US doctrine for you, there's a reason the two largest air forces in the world are the US Air force and the US Navy.
Step 1: Secure air superiority
Step 2: Engage in SEAD to leave enemy air defense a scrap heap.
Step 3: Bomb the fucking shit out of them.

If they're pulling out the BUFF now, we're firmly in step 3.

Iraqi news websites and social media accounts are reporting spotting a downed pilot over Basra, they're claiming it's an American but I'd take that with a whole bag of salt.

ssstwitter.com_1772742753809.mp4

Basra Police Command told Al Jazeera: Our officers went to search for an American pilot who crashed within the province's borders, but he has not yet been found.
CENTCOM reports: Nuhuh

Yeah but the current trajectory to the "Islamic death cult" in Iran is a complete dissolution of their government and the balkanization of their state. That's a scenario where I'd expect a "if Im going down I'm taking you with me" -- like israel has planned with the Samson option.

That makes me really doubt the claims theyre fanatical irrational actors.

AND IT'S NOT EVEN ONE FULL WEEK IN!!

As I said before, I believe that Islam is a metastatic tumor. Either you kill it or it will start spreading too many cancerous cells for immune system to catch and destroy, eventually spreading over the organism and killing it.
Saudi Arabia is also a tumor, but less advanced (fanatical) one so let's try chemo (trying to bring them into the civilized world through peaceful means) for now.
Saudi Arabia is the metastasized tumor. Nobody throws more money at Salafist mosques and madrasas worldwide than KSA. Saudi was also the first non-china aligned country to sell their oil in Yuan, they're duplicitous and inept whenever they have to do something themselves. Trump should force them back on the petrodollar or make them face the consequences, and finally clean up the biggest geopolitical disaster introduced by the Biden admin.

Oh man TIME magazine really fucking DUNKED on MAGA guys. The 4-5,000 people who forgot to cancel their subscription will be howling

Somalia was Clinton, Iraq was Bush and Obama, Trump cut off funding for the Syrian rebels from April 2017 onwards, only for Biden to open it back up and smuggle weapons through Ukraine, and Damascus fell under Biden as well. Venezuela has worked out splendidly, I see nothing wrong with helping Latin America gain control from criminals and terrorists. There was like one bombing in Nigeria, which is on the no immigration list as of last December.

Very bold move to blame every foreign policy failure since 1992 on the guy that only took power in 2016.

Those look to be flare decoys from a medium-range ballistic missile.

It's probably a Khorramshahr-4, 1500kg payload (depending on range, up to 2000km). Not a true MIRV capacity, but plenty of room for flare submunitions. Iranians claim it can hit "up to 80" targets, though obviously only the main munition is guided.

The "submunitions" don't appear to be detonating on the ground below in the videos so they probably just function as flares and have no secondary explosive function.

Direct impacts at the U.S. base in Kuwait.

CENTCOM presser in a few minutes. Tousi TV will be covering it:

I don't think anything big or important was hit in Israel. We could be seeing the result of a brush fire. Remember, Israel has the topography of Utah.

The US Military is fascinating in how its a combination of century old technology and science fiction stuff. The B-52 was designed during World War 2, and has been in service since the 1950s. The primary crew served machine gun of the Army and Navy is the .50 caliber M2 Browning. Which entered service in 1933 and was designed during World War 1. Even the Mk. 48 torpedo that sank the Iranian frigate in the Indian Ocean is just an iteration on the Mk 16 Torpedo with better guidance systems. Which entered service in World War 2.

The Dumb Bombs being dropped now are also World War 2 Bombs with a laser guidance system strapped to them. The idea that the US Military over engineers everything is a myth. We really don't, except in very specific circumstances. For the most part much of our shit is basic bitch military hardware any country could build if it had the inclination to do so. The only science fiction tier stuff we have is the "tip of the spear" equipment. The stuff that goes in first to, I dunno, kill the entire leadership structure of a nation in the first hour of a war.

After that, its pure caveman clubs.
