Lazy people who never learned to properly research a topic are an eternal bane for all generations.

The actual production capacity of Raytheon to make (for example) Tomahawks is a mandate set by the Pentagon for their weapon system to be selected for service.

Another way to phrase this is "You need X amount of factory floor space to prpduce these weapons and X number of years worth of materials to produce these weapons for us to use them."

Raytheon has only been making and selling ~50-100 Tomahawks because we've only been expending that amount. They have the capacity at the drop of a hat to make (estimated based on OSINT stats) ~600 a year.

The goal for 2026 is to get that number up to 1000+. This is less of a material and manufacturing challenge as much as it is a logistics and personel one.
